Misleading Photos
February 22, 2024Based on the photos, I was excited to tour this property but the apartment they showed me looked nothing like the pictures online. The apartment was run down and not modern at all and there was carpet everywhere! The walkway between apartments was carpet and filthy and full of hair. The patio has carpet and the morning I toured we’d had a lot of recent snowfall and the carpet was mushy and smelled awful. The walkways were covered in slick ice and giant puddles and I saw several people almost ...fall. The amenities look great in the pictures but in real life they’re all worn down and rusty. The office area for the property staff was really well kept but you can tell that same energy is not given to the rest of the property.Property Manager Responded

Management is not Focused on Residents
December 23, 2021I have many concerns about this place as it is not maintained well. Most recent, I decided to inform the manager directly that I have never received a 24 hour notice before any member of the apartment staff has entered my apartment. I received the response “Did I receive it before 24 hours, or just not see it?” (This is all because of the cockroaches in our apartment by the way) I already prefaced the story to the manager that I work from home and always witnessed whenever I would get these ...notices (always around 5-6pm the night before and maintenance showed up 9-10 am the next day). I didn’t check reviews previously on apartments complexes before moving, I did assume they would all keep up to the same basic standard, but this has thought me a great lesson because if I saw the reviews for this place previously, I could’ve avoided having to wait out this lease (or pay 3000 to terminate) PS. While the festive activities inside of the rental office are very cute, residents are more worried about the ice and snow on walkways and parking areas being cleared timely and properly.Property Manager Responded

Don’t move here!
May 1, 2021Don’t move here! We paid the deposit the management requires to reserve your apartment. Which is worthless. It does not guarantee that you are getting the apartment you want and the price either. A week before moving to the apartment. They told us that the resident wanted to stay. We had to reschedule our moving truck and go through the whole process of getting an apartment. All of you know how stressful is to find an apartment and even more with such a short notice. All they had to say was I’m ...sorry. If you guys want to avoid going through this painful process don’t move here.Property Manager Responded

Great place to live
September 14, 2020Well-built apartments with walls that actually block sound from the other apartments. I've been living here a year and a half and after reading some of the negative reviews I had to put a review up. most of the dog owners like myself do actually pick up after their dogs and the apartment maintenance people pick up after the irresponsible dog owners. I don't know what this idiot is complaining about seeing dog poop in an apartment building that allows animals just go live in one that doesn't ...allow animals. In conclusion this is a great place to live I love walking my dog along the river and when I call maintenance they're usually at my apartment in 15 minutes.Property Manager Responded

December 16, 2019DO NOT LIVE HERE. Trust me. I am moving out, and all this place has ever done was try to nickel and dime me. They charge you for everything. My rent always went up. Now that I moved out, they are trying to charge me another $320. The fees are never ending. That's not even to say that the management is horrible and the amenities are locked half the time you want to use them.Property Manager Responded

Look elsewhere...
November 11, 2019When I received the keys to the apartment I went over and did the checklist right away. I noticed the apartment wasn't cleaned and left for me to do. I spent a whole weekend cleaning carpets, washing walls and deep cleaning all the cabinets. The kitchen cabinets were gross and peeling that I ended up fixing it up with contact paper. I removed all drawers and ended up finding mail and apartments keys from 2016. The vents were covered with animal hair and not cleaned!! I requested the vents be ...cleaned out- They came over and wiped it down! Nothing was cleaned out and I had to do this myself. I also let Donte aware that the carpet has nails sticking up in 4 spots and it needed to be fixed. nothing ever got done and instead of me complaining about it again I let it be!! I asked is they could clean the hallway outside the apartment since I was very dusty- I was told they do spray downs spring and fall - Spring clean has not been done yet and I am sure fall wont happen either! One thing I mention to staff was the balcony had some weird things covering the openings in the canopy I thought they would maybe fix it or make it look better but no that's stayed the same as well. I had to also put in about 5/6 request for birds to be removed from my balcony when they were just in the egg. No one came, the birds hatched, made a mess finally flew away. Finally when the apartments were ready to come clean we had a death in the family and it was already fall. The birds are horrible over here!! The have made every excuse possible and don't care. They only care about their money here and if staff is happy- not the residents! My husband and I are always calling non-emergency due to drug deals in the parking lot, people sleeping in their cars and junkies dumpster diving! Let me save you the Hassle and go elsewhere- and not a AMC property. They require a 60 day notice to move out but wont give you the information for your new lease until a couple days prior. Also the pet spa they advertise worked a couple weeks and been down ever since. The pool they say is year round - is not even warm enough to swim In the winter so its also a waste for residents paying. They don't clear ice and snow in a timely manner as well.Property Manager Responded

Horrible
February 25, 2019This isn't a great location and the apartments are okay at best. When we moved in they told us that they would fix a couple of things before we actually moved in, it never happened. When you need help sometimes the request takes over 24 hours for them to fix it including flooding. The office almost never gets back to you and if they do it's not in a very timely manner. Many of our neighbors took things off of our porch, and in my stairwell alone at least three of them smoke marijuana regularly.Property Manager Responded

Awful apartments!
October 7, 2018This place was terrible. Our apartment flooded 4 times when we were there due to their negligence about the sprinkler system outside the apartment. It has ruined multiple of our belongings and they are refusing to do anything about it. Also there is cockroaches all over the building, they are in the kitchen and bedrooms. The "new and remodeled" kitchen are cheap and poorly put together so everything was falling apart. The baseboards were all falling off the walls. Our washer and dryer did not dry ...our clothes and did not wash them half the time. No matter how many times we called they did nothing about it. VERY overpriced for what you get and the quality of the apartment.Property Manager Responded

August 8, 2018I have noticed that a lot of the reviews are from the staff and friends of staff that work here. 1) The clubhouse/fitness area has been treated poorly due to vandalism and the equipment barely works. 2) I hope you like RATS. You can see rats running around at night by the playground as well in and out of every dumpster going into the bushes. 3) They do not work with residents during life emergencies. 4) NO ONE here picks up after their dog. 5) Upon move out I had hired a cleaning service to deep ...clean the apartment and even the carpets in order to get my deposit back. As they did a walk through I was told the place had NOT been cleaned and the carpets NEEDED to be replaced. I went on line to search for reviews and to see if others had experienced the same problem with Spring of Country Woods Apartment and to my surprise I was disturbed to find that this is standard practice for this company. I could go on with 100 reasons why not to move here.Property Manager Responded

worst people ever
July 5, 2018I lived here for 1 year. They charge you for unreasonable things. Remember your rent is plus what you pay for deposit because it doesn’t matter how much you clean the apartment and move out, they don’t pay you back at all. I had done a deep cleaning with carpet cleaner and changed burner plates but they needed recite and I didn’t have and they charged me while they could see it was clean and burner plates were new and haven't been used before. I got charged $109 for opening balance, when I asked ...the manager she said it is water, sewer trash for last month. Then I asked so if it is my utilities so why I have $55.37 for utilities?! She just went pull out the refrigerator, took some pictures from dirt under refrigerator and from a tiny hole which was much smaller than a penny and sent me and said that’s why!! I got charged $95 for partial painting. It was way smaller than a Penney just like what is written on their lease agreement. During the year my husband and I lived there we were annoyed by our front door neighbor every day, he used to let his doges poop at the porch and he would never clean it up. I told the office several times and after 9 months they gave him only $50 fine. Nothing changed after that, he started to sweep poops and put them under the bosh in front of porch. I could smell it every time while walking to my apartment. He put his garbage behind the door in the passageway which was public and his garbage was there some times for 7 days! It was awful. Office did NOT take any action about it. The only thing that is important for them is just your on-time rent NOT your comfort.The money you pay each month is not what you see in the contract; you have added about $100 for utilities and expect increase. They increase CAMP charge. You pay CAPM charge for 12 month while you have that beautiful stream only for 2 months, you have to walk through the gees poops and 30% of the time pool is closed for maintenance and black rats are running around everywhere. When I told the office about all those rats they said they cannot do anything because lots of pets live there! I had a mouse hole right close to my apartment door, I asked them to do something about it, and their maintenance guy just put a stone on that hole! If you want to move there you won’t be alone, you will have spiders and rats with you in and out of your apartment. I hope my experiences where informative for those who want to move there. Remember they're very nice when you want to move in.Property Manager Responded

Can't take it anymore
May 8, 2017.Left message that the sink is clogged, no return call. After work the next day our kitchen floor and everything in the cabinets were soaked. This is the 3rd time in 2 years we dealt with these problems.Review from Apartments.com
A Wonderful Place to Live! No Need to Look Elsewhere
April 24, 2017Overall I've enjoyed living here! The one bedroom floor plan is really spacious and has tons of storage, which I loved! When my toilet broke maintenance fixed it within an hour and other minor issues have been addressed the next business day. The girls in the office have been helpful when I've needed them too.
