Two-Faced
November 9, 2020We stayed in this apartment for about 2.5 years. We chose to stay there because of the greenery and landscaping and a nice swimming pool. The apartment was in good shape but small and dark. The negative aspect was that almost every other day they we’re using noisy and dusty leaf blowers and lawn movers. Our cars and windows were covered with a layer of dust. They did not have a car wash and they did not have any electric car charging stations. We found unfriendly that they raised our rent by ...8.3% and when we asked why so much, they told us that this was the maximum legally allowed increase. Beware of the move out charges
June 4, 2016These are just money making people. I had to leave this place as they increased the rent too much for my lease renewal. I got a better place than Spruce apartment less than the rent they were offering for renewal. Initially when I leased an apartment they offered 1 month off with 12 months lease which made the average rent attractive, I tried to negotiate the offer for renewal, but they did not even reduce a single dollar, neither did offer the one month off offer, so I decided to move on. They ...had a deposit of about 2.9 K which had to be refunded. I was shocked when I saw the move out charges. They charged me about $1178 (apart from utilities due), which included $500 for cooking odor removal, and $247 for cooktop replacement. After a lot of email exchange, and visiting their office they waived the cooktop charges, but refused to waive the odor removal charges, but they never gave a reason why these problems were not told to me earlier. I know my apartment was vacant atleast for 1 month after I moved, and now they have more than dozen vacant ones. I know they lost revenue because I made a move, but this is not a way to cover your losses, had they given me a month off at renewal or negotiated the offer, they must have not lost this revenue, really bad at business. Great place to live!
September 30, 2015Just moved into Spruce Apartments and we love it! There's construction happening at the complex so sometimes it's a bit noisy but nothing too terrible. September 30, 2015Spruce has top of the line amenities with 3 pools (1 lap pool), tennis courts, barbecues, 24-hour gym, a game room and more. I have dubbed it "Sunnyvale's Club Med". Nice apartment, too expensive
August 16, 2015I recently moved into this apartment complex in June and so far it has been a good experience. There is a 24 hour gym, 3 pools, and 4 tennis courts. They also allow 2 pets per house hold for 50 dollars extra a month, per pet. The apartment that I am in is newly renovated and includes a small washer and dryer. However, the rent is 2,500 and month and it usually goes over that price because water and trash is included and changes monthly.Review from Apartments.com
