Someone has to say it
May 21, 2025Love my apartment. HATE the building. Service requests take weeks to be acknowledged. Passive aggressive notes from management in public spaces for guests to see despite there being an online portal for resident communication. But that is also where the service requests are so makes sense. No pets of my own right now but I love animals so I’ll just say you do have to watch your step outside the building. The bigger issue for me is that the community spaces are always dirty. Community room? Dark ...and dusty. Gym? Dusty with warn old equipment. Lobby? High traffic so I’ll just comment on the hole in the wall that was plasters but not painted. Elevator? DIRTY! High traffic but you can find the same stain a week later. Hallways? Chipped paint and damaged walls. Garage? Dirty and not well lit. The lights for the outside parking light are not guaranteed. Entry to the building is also a roll of the dice as many times the “systems failed” so doors are commonly left open leaving the building unsecured. No shuttle to train or visitor parking. Dogs out of control / slow responses from property manager
January 25, 2025I have had nothing short of a horrible experience living here the past 3+ years. Dogs continue to be the downfall of my and several tenants living experiences here (even after I have told the property manager repeatedly to remove the pets above me - nothing has changed in over a year). St George’s should charge whoever owns a pet atleast $300/month in damaging fees upfront and reduce the rent for non-pet owners for the stress/annoyance we have to put up with. June 28, 2017I have lived at the 400 Passaic Ave building for two years and it is an excellent place to live. The staff are very attentive and quickly respond to any inquiries or requests you may have. They are very flexible, courteous and accommodating. The location is great with Tops Diner right next door and a short walk to the Harrison Path Station or the Newark Broad Street NJTransit Station. Would highly recommend.Review from Apartments.com
