Bang for your Buck
February 9, 2026I've lived here for awhile now and have been happy with the apartment, the community, and staff. Large apartment with ample closet space. I especially live having the in unit washer/dryer. I just wish my unit would have the upgraded flooring. This property is close to just about everything. If it's not walking distance you can use the bus pass that comes with living here. I recommend calling this your home.Property Manager Responded

Overall good place for a decent price
February 9, 2026I have lived at State College Collective for nearly 2 years and have enjoyed it. It is definitely affordable if you are willing to share a room with someone. It is away from the busyness of campus and provides a bus pass to make transportation easier. It is right next to Walmart and restaurants for convenience. They do snow removal (mostly, some spots have been left covered in snow) and maintain good landscaping. The apartment is a good size with lots of storage space in the kitchen. Maintenance ...requests are generally responded to quickly. Baseboard heating leaves the apartments a bit dry in the winter and hard to set the right temperature, but utilities overall are affordable. I like that they have recycling bins at the apartment complex. Parking is readily available, but no assignment, so that can be annoying. Also, you can only get up to three visitor passes at one time, and only one is permanent. This can make gatherings a bit of a challenge.Property Manager Responded

Very Nice and Quiet Location
February 24, 2025I live over at Farmstead and absolutely love it here! Granted I did have to submit 2 maintenance orders for my bedspace but the kitchen and living room is very spacious and the rate is very reasonable compared to other places!Property Manager Responded

BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE
February 3, 2025Today was absolutely my final straw for this apartment. Living here was the biggest mistake I have ever made. We did not receive a working dryer for 3 MONTHS. They do not salt the stairs or provide any sort of winter maintenance at all. If you have a maintenance issue of any kind don't expect to hear back at all. Do not bother calling the office because their only response is how it is "out of their hands" and they can refer you to management who also will not answer you at all. My parents ...legitimately needed to threaten the State College Collective legally before they finally did something. They are the most difficult people to reach, but if your guest parks on the side of the street...DONT worry they will make sure the tow truck is here within 20 minutes! Great work guys really awesome! If I could do anything with my frustration I will make it my last dying wish to make sure no one ever makes the mistake of signing a lease here. Save yourself. GREAT LOCATION AND PRICE

Excellent and Asthetic house
November 26, 2024The homes at state college collective are asthetically pleasing to the eyes and comfortable for living. The location is a great one from where you can access giant, weis, walmart and aldi easily. The kitchen is spacious and big for sharing with other roommates. You can enjoy sunny season by sitting in the balcony with a cup of tea in your hand. The maintenance of the property is also improving day by day.
