September 9, 2024This apartment complex is an absolute mess. The apartment we were shown was not the same apartment we were given upon move-in. Our apartment had no central air, no working heat mechanism, mold throughout various parts of the apartment including our kitchen’s dishwasher, our washing machine, and both of our tubs. When driving through, you may think to yourself “wow, what a nice looking complex.” However, that is absolutely not a reflection of the condition of your apartment or how you’ll be ...treated as tenants. We were called names, laughed at, and mocked for simple requests which included things like asking for assistance fixing a broken shower rod or a broken toilet seat. The leasing manager, who I will leave unnamed for privacy purposes, is so extremely rude it’s incomprehensible. The property manager claims to have all these years of experience, yet couldn’t ever not ONCE explain to use what anything meant within our lease. Instead, they told us we were less than intelligent - to put it nicely. Your amenity fee, which is an additional charge every month, will be for the pool and the trails. Both the pool and the “private” trails have been closed countless times and haven’t been able to be used much. There’s no explanation as to why they’re closed, but you’re still paying for that. I can’t say this enough - please, please, please do not live here. It is not worth it. This place is far from luxury; I would consider this complex to be more of a run-down, quickly deteriorating complex, with very little knowledge from management about what to fix and how to fix it. Absolutely disgusting.
June 14, 2024UPDATE** Steeplechase FINALLY agreed to replace the disgusting carpet in her apartment, HOWEVER, they showed up one day, ripped it out, and haven't been back. My daughter also discovered a MUSHROOM growing out of the dishwasher today (I wish I could post pics here!). Honestly, absolutely disgusting. Moved my daughter into this place yesterday...it's FILTHY. My daughter had to PAY Steeplechase to have their apartment cleaned. When she picked up her keys, she did a walk through and it was still ...filthy. She took pictures and showed them to the leasing manager, who stated she would have the cleaners go back and make sure it was taken care of by the time my daughter moved in the next day. Nope. That didn't happen, so they refunded my daughter the cleaning fee that she paid, but I have NEVER heard of an apartment complex leaving an apartment this filthy and letting new tenants move into it. Like, why would my daughter have to pay a cleaning fee in the first place??? Normally, maintenance would go through and do this. The kitchen oven has food caked in it and garbage underneath it, freezer not even wiped out, tops of kitchen cabinets have sticky dust caked on them, drier vent not even cleaned out, air duct is filthy, walls have spider/dust webs in corners, carpet is dirty, we noticed my daughter's feet were BLACK after walking around on the floors. Unbelievable. Will be taking this further, but BEWARE. Also, the central air has been broken for MONTHS in her apartment and they JUST put a work order in, saying that it could be a couple of months before it is fixed. Don't waste your time, unless
June 13, 2022You like the grass mowed once a month, clogged dryer vents, a heater in the garage that runs 24/7 all winter that you can't turn off, little to no parking, a pool that you can't use until the end of June if you are lucky, flooded porches when it rains and a poorly maintained gym this is the right fit! They don’t care about you and treat you like a customer more than a tenant.
January 9, 2022If you still chose to live here, document everything, because that’s still not enough for them. My door frame was cracked and the door was split down the middle, they said they would replace it but three months later they went back on their word. The AC unit is inside an uninsulated attic and running it 24/7 wouldn’t put the temperature below 85°F in the summer. Refused to service it and said nothing was wrong with it. My unit had black mold under the vinyl tiles in the bathroom, none of them ...were even glued down. Had to pull teeth to get that one fixed too. They don’t care about you, they care about making money, so much so that’s exactly what the property manager told us. “We have a business to run, replacing your door isn’t in the businesses interests.” That was it, we had to force them to break contract. Again they threatened us with fines for breaking lease acting like they were the victims living in a overheating apartment with pretty much no front door. We had to show them the laws to remind them who broke what. Two years later and we still haven’t received our security deposit back like they said they would. Hardly a Luxury Apartment Community
July 7, 2019This apartment complex is hardly a luxury option. The pool area is overflowing with cans and garbage, residents are smoking or vaping at the pool and the lifeguards are barely paying attention. It is a disgusting environment.Property Manager Responded

Worst experience ever.
August 24, 2017I have stayed in many complexes but this by far was the worst. To look at it, it was fair but as soon as we moved in we had major problems. The dryer was a big one, it always took 2-3,45-60 min cycles to dry anything which drove our electric bill very high.We put in many requests and after much complaining they eventually replaced the dryer but that did not fix the problem. After a couple more months of complaining they eventually sent out a handy man who unhooked it as he had suspicions it was ...the vents. The dryer worked perfect unhooked. But it obviously made the laundry room super hot, and if I left the door open it made the apartment hot which meant I had to leave the ac running constantly to keep the place cool. The problem was never solved despite the work orders put it.so we suffered high electric bills each month. Dish washer would constantly get backed up and spill onto the floor fishy water, took almost the entire year lease to get a $200 replacement dish washer. Work orders were rarely completed at at all or in a reasonable time. From blinds to toilet leak, closet rack repair, etc. I would have to repeatedly chase them down.They don't leave receipts when they "repair" anything either. When I received the apartment it had the original 11 year old Berber carpeting in it. Which was filthy and torn even though they claimed it was shampooed. when we left they wanted to charge us at their choice and cost of a shampooer. When the carpet should have been replaced years prior. We were charged for small frame holes, per hole. I returned the apartment in ready to rent condition even though it wasn't given to me like that in hopes I would receive my deposit back despite what I had heard from others. I even painted the kitchen, dining, laundry and touched up throughout. Even though they did not paint before we moved in which has always been common practice for any other complex. We moved out over 2 months ago and still haven't received our deposit. Each time I contact them I'm given an excuse. The apartment I'm in now has been awesome. Very professional and honest with pretty much every detail spelled out. Work orders are done day of, unless it's a part that needs to be ordered. Everything is professionally done with receipts left explaining what was repaired and what times. Staff has honored every word and reaches out with survey feedbacks so they can better improve the community. It's how a complex should be ran.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Terrible experience
February 7, 2017Staff was awful and maintenance is lacking. The heaters at the bottom of the stairs never worked. Fridge did not shut all the way. All the pipes froze in the winter. It was an awful experience overall. Would not recommend to anyone.Review from Apartments.com
Not even close to luxury
October 20, 2015This apartment complex likes to claim that it is a luxury complex but it is far from this. They have the bottom of the line everything within the apartments. The carpet, cabinets, sinks, linoleum, everything is bargain basement. Something you would expect to find in something half price. The absolute worst part of this complex is the maintenance staff. When you call the maintenance line you are forced to leave a message. There is no way to speak to a live person. After leaving a message ...you won't hear anything from the staff, not a notice that they got your message, an ETA on when to expect a repair, nothing! Then if and when they come they do the absolute bare minimum of what you asked, if they do anything at all. They do not deserve to be working in an apartment complex that charges the rent that Steeplechase does. It is just very apparent that the staff does not care to do what is required to maintain a complex that asks for this high of rent. Even small things, such as the fact that the water bottle in the gym is never refilled and they are missing dumbbells in the gym just go unnoticed by the staff.
