The pool is so nice to have in this hot Texas sun... also considering we do NOT pay for the water here! That's the best. I'm not from Texas, and most places I have ever lived pay for the water/sewer trash... so Victoria is a real eye opener! Stonebrook apartments are also more affordable than other apartments by comparison AND the square footage is more here too!
Whenever I have ever lodged a complaint about something breaking or not working, any issue is taken care of in a professional, ...
timely fashion and completed to my satisfaction.
There will always be patches or problems with an older apartment complex, but the maintenance people go above and beyond to make sure the residents are comfortable.
There is a lady here that teaches swimming... during hours when no one (or nearly no one) is at the pool. She is certified and has taught the very young to special forces... as a stay at home mom (home schooling), I have never met anyone with as much patience, kindness and love. Her children are the testaments to that... as they are very sweet, considerate and respectful of their mom.
No place is perfect... but the staff here really do their best to make sure one and all are content. Jayme may have friends... but she went to school here, and she follows the rules like everyone else does.
Stonebrook is a nice (more spacious) place to stay... if you are looking for friendly, yet professional management, amenities for you and the children, pet friendly with a policeman in residence for safety, and NO water bill... then this is worth a look see.
Signs are posted to pick up after your pet and how much the fine is if caught, and smoking is never permitted inside your place... If you ever went through bootcamp, then you know NOT to leave your butts laying on the ground for someone else to pick up. (Maintenance gets stuck with that job...) But then, all of that is an individual choice to respect others.

these are among the more affordable apartments in the area. They look neat and well kept from the outside, but inside the apartments are just layers of cracked paint and caulk and flimsy materials. the management isn't around much and plays favorites. IE allows residents who are her friends to break the rules like bringing tons of people to the pool (lookin at the lady with 5 kids who invites several friends over and they all just take over the entire pool area, she also runs a business giving ...
swimming lessons to non-residents in the pool - all with jayme's ok apparently).
mosquito heaven in the summer because of the swamp in the back. also dog poop. so much dog poop.
if you plan on not going outside and not using the pool and keeping your lights off so you don't see all the cheap patch jobs... then yeah fine place to live.
