Stratus Village has been a long time coming. For nearly five years, our community leaders in McMinnville, Oregon, have dreamed of vibrant, inclusive, affordable housing that meets the needs of its residents—and doesn't feel like traditional low-income housing. Witnessing the growing need for affordable housing in our community inspired us to create a vibrant apartment community where residents felt a true sense of belonging. Stratus Village reflects this vision. Here, residents will enjoy a central courtyard with outdoor spaces, a playground, an off-leash dog area, and even garden boxes. A dedicated community center will serve as a community hub, offering space for resident events, shared offices for partner organizations, and a designated space for the Confederated Tribes of Grande Ronde. This project is a testament to the power of collaboration. It's a symbol of hope and the belief that affordable housing can be done well.
