Great apartment community to call home

I have lived here at Summer Key for over two years now. The application was quick and easy. Management went above and beyond to help me get everything I needed to apply. Maintenance has always responded in a quick manner to any maintenance requests. They have monthly pest control. My only complaints are parking and the trash that gets piled up by the dumpsters. I feel that the trash is due to lazy residents that refuse to put their trash in the dumpster instead of setting it next to it.

My apartment got the updated flooring its so wonderful to have the hardwood with having kids so glad i moved here ,everyone here has been so friendly and wonderful to deal with .

Cozy place to live but unsafe

We moved in nearly a year ago. It’s been a great place but my partner was recently assaulted here and when we told the property manager all she said they could do was change the locks. There have been no other safety precautions taken and they even blamed us for it happening. Will definitely be looking for somewhere else to go.

My husband and I needed an apartment quickly. April and Holly were able to process our applications and get us in an apartment the same day we applied. We plan on renewing our lease for another year. Maintence is always on-call and we have had to call on the weekend. Our AC went out and needed a part which they didn’t have on hand. Maintenance installed a window unit until the part arrived. They do pest control every month and I have never had any issues in my apartment. I also referred my cousin ...
for an apartment and after she moved in Summer Key paid me $150!! I would recommend these apartments to anyone.

I had to find a new apartment quickly. I was able to apply and get approved in the same day. I moved into a one bedroom apartment the next day and haven't looked back. My lease is up next month and I will be renewing. I have had to use the emergency maintenance line on the weekend. He was prompt and repaired my issue (bathtub stopped up due to my hair). Office staff is always helpful. I would recommend Summer Key Apartments to anyone looking for their next home.

My husband and I signed for our apartment the better half of a year ago and were delighted with the front office staff. They were responsive, organized, and very kind to us during our search and after we signed. We've had a few maintenance issues however they came the same afternoon and took care of everything, consistently and professionally. We have never had bug problems or issues with neighbors and are delighted to live here.

HORRIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT STAFF. THE PLACE IS RUN OVER WITH HUMUNGOUS SEWER COCKAROACHES, AND THEY KEPT 2/3's OF MY DEPOSIT, ALTHOUGH THE ASSISTANT MANAGER DID A WALK THROUGH WITH ME AND SAID MY PLACE LOOK EXCELLENT UPON DEPARTURE AND NOTHING MORE NEEDED TO BE DONE TO HAVE MY FULL DEPOSIT RETURNED!!!!!!!

We put in an application and paid the fee . Our credit wasn't great and we took care of that when we were told we would more than likely get approved if we did this. They never once called us to let us know anything, we had to call them. They gave us the run around for 2 weeks wasting our time when we could of been looking into other apts. This was not cool and very unprofessional of them to treat us in this manner.

I lived at Summer Key from October 2014 to October 2015 and was very happy staying there. I never had any maintenance issues so I can't say how responsive they are, but not having to call them must be a good sign. Didn't have any problems with bugs, noise or neighbors. And I took care of my apartment so I got my whole deposit back after I moved out. I would definitely consider renting from them again if my work ever brings me back to Decatur
