Small but excellent layout!

I live in a one bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment. It is 516 square feet, which sounds really small. Most people assume it's a studio layout but it's not, which is one of its great features! The living area is pretty roomy and has a stacked washer and dryer in a closet near the front door. They recently installed hardwood imitation (vinyl I think) floors in most if not all of the units, which has held up nicely.

workable. The dishwasher is also smaller than a normal sized dishwasher, but for one person it works. There are several cabinets but no drawers and no pantry. I purchased a wire shelving unit to act as the pantry and as a place to store pots and pans because they were too big to fit in one cabinet. They recently placed new backsplash and it looks really nice!
The closet is MASSIVE. I fit my giant dresser in there and still had so much room and shelf space. There is carpet in the bedroom and closet.
The bathroom storage is a little lacking but I placed a shelving unit over the toilet and solved that problem. This room also has the imitation hardwood floors.
Technically, there is a balcony and a door in the bedroom to get out there, but the door doesn't have a door knob and you can't open it. Apparently it is prohibited to go on the balcony, but I'm not really sure why. They renting company failed to mention that when I chose the apartment. Not a huge deal, but I was looking forward to using it.
The maintenance has been extremely responsive and fast and I haven't really had any issues that weren't easily repairable like the kitchen light going out.
Location is good especially if you're a student at UNT. Pricing is not bad for the area because it's within walking distance from campus, which is good and bad. It's on the street that is the main entrance to the campus so several busses' routes drive right by my apartment, which is pretty loud especially in the morning. I haven't really had an issue with traffic but there is definitely a lot of car movement during the school year. It calms down during the summer. Easy access to I35E N. Road are TERRIBLE around the area though but Denton isn't really known for its road maintenance. Just something to be prepared for. No pool or workout facility since there are only 12 units.
Overall, it's been a great apartment while I've been getting my masters degree. I have not had any issues with the neighbors in the apartment complex.
