I've lived at Surrey Square for 5 years and I can say that their leasing staff has always been very responsive and professional given the fact that they have to deal with some very rachet tenants. Nasty place rats and roaches in the apartments which they claim are none which is not true. trash always out in the lots and streets. The gate that’s supposed to work never worked so much for security. The carpet and particles in the air probably the water as well there made my whole families skin very itchy and irritated I know because since we moved no skin irritation whatsoever. Horrible place I would not recommend to ...anybody! So happy I am away from there the pictures are very deceiving. Ineffective Communication Issues
January 14, 2022 - Review from Apartments.comSurrey Square has no idea what EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION is. After 2 weeks and an issue being marked completed, another maintenance guy came back, cut my heat off with no prior warning, left me cold for hours only for me to later learn that the issue that was marked completed was a TEMPORARY FIX. None of this had been communicated. Every time I have to reach out to maintenance for anything and sometimes the rental office, the matter becomes more severe due to lack of communication.Property Manager Responded

It is a quiet neighborhood with an easy access to the metro and easy driving to the city. We love the place! The management could be better in returning e-mails, but they are nice and helpful when approached in person.

December 13, 2016 - Review from Apartments.comMouse infested community, mice entering thru the thin walls, shady and untrustworthy property manager who should not even be working there because she has no care or concern for the tenants, only your money. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I wish I could give this complex a zero rating, even one star is too much for them. So glad to be gone from there. Good riddance to Faye and the family of mice the size of baby rats that I was forced to live with. Do yourself a huge favor and ...do NOT rent here, unless you are OK with living with rodents. Worst place to live!
September 4, 2016 - Review from Apartments.comWe moved into our apartment in December of 2015 in that month alone we caught 8 mice in one week and 2 a week after we reported it. They did nothing about it. Then we start seeing roaches. Mind you everything in this apartment was Brand new when we moved it in. Not even taken out of the boxes. It is now August and we still have mice from neighboring apartments, are constantly awakened because of scratches in the ceiling (sounds like a bunch of squirrels trying to escape) and there are still ...roaches everywhere despite me keeping the place OCD clean. I wipe everything with ammonia and clean the bathrooms everyday with bleach. They come through the shower drains come through the cabinets where you store food and on top of that there contracting team forgot to seal up the gaps that are connected to OUTSIDE. I am so done with this place and wouldn't recommend to a single SOUL.Read More

No trouble with any neighbors. Bike was stolen once. Currently my rent is high, but I'm sure there are move in specials to take advantage of. All in all, this is a safe nice place to call home. But its just OK.
