May 31, 2024These apartments is horrible infested with roaches, black mold in the bathrooms. I move here in March 16th they have not done nothing work order hasn't been done. People don't even pick up after themselves. It's very nasty how they don't care how people living. Do not move here please move else where. Stay away
March 12, 2022Late fees are up to half your months rent. They wont fix anything. Been waiting since before Christmas to have bathroom door fixed. It is now March and still nothing. We fixed the leaking sink drain. If you have bugs you have to wait until the exterminator comes once a week. The only reason you get bugs is because they do not do preventive spray. So if someone moves in and the next thing you know you are seeing them, you may have to wait a whole week for anyone to spray. It depends on what day ...you report it. The pool was closed every holiday last year and half the summer. The hot tub is broken and its a mosquito breeding ground. The pool is not clean and you never smell chlorine when you walk by the pool. The laundry room is filthy. Roach infested. Homeless sits in there at night and uses the wifi. Not only that they steal peoples loads of laundry. The door does not lock. The walkway lights have not worked for almost a year now. So needless to say its pitch black at night. Very unsafe. They have no sympathy or care in the world when it comes to the tenants. They will send an eviction notice right off the bat by text message charging 50.00 legal fees. 25.00 administration fees and continue to send letters and text every day. Along with 10.00 each day you do not pay rent.The water is constantly getting shut off for routine maintenance. Also your water bill is over 50.00 a month no matter how much water you use. They add the total of tenants living in the complex and divide the water bill by that amount. So basically you are paying for a family of five usage of water.Property Manager Responded
March 17, 2022We sincerely regret that your experience was less than perfect. The items you have listed are uncharacteristic of our community. There are many communities in the same area, so you may posted a review for the wrong one. Our pool has never been closed on a holiday and has only been closed during the height of the pandemic in 2020, adhering to CDC guidelines. Since we do not provide WiFi in the laundry areas and it is locked, we have never experienced an issue. We routinely have our pest control spray the exterior of our community, along with all of our vacant apartments as a preventative measure. We hope you will revise your review since this clearly is not Sycamore Creek Apartment Homes.

Worst apartments ever
February 16, 2021I do not recommend living here. Everything is old & worn out. When you plan to not resign your lease they charge all these hidden fees & cant explain what it’s for. The fee will most likely be more than your rent.Property Manager Responded

Good parts and Bad parts
August 20, 2020The good- We love the location and the grounds are manicured. The bad- we live on the top floor and the neighbors AC shakes our apartment and makes several different kinds of loud noises. Being in the bedroom for more than a minute or two causes nausea and headaches. We've talked to management several times since the neighbors moved in and it has not been fixed. Maintenance has been out, they cant fix it: it needs to be fixed by HVAC. Management has been uncommunicative and unhelpful; they have ...not offered a solution even though we havent been able to use the bedroom for 6 weeks now. We moved here from an hsl property that had excellent management and would not have moved here if we known how poorly management would handle a problem. The ugly- when we moved in there were minor issues like missing blinds and faucets that are overly tight and they havent been repaired 2 months later. We also had bugs when we moved in- they sent someone out once for that; he was here for 3 minutes and did nothing. We requested they send someone else and got fed up waiting after 2 weeks and paid for it to be taken care of ourselves. The saddest part is that this place could have gotten 4 stars (one missing for minor bugs) from us and we would want to stay if they had just made the repairs. As it is we are looking at putting rent in escrow and counting the days until our lease is up.Property Manager Responded

parking
June 16, 2020I pay for a parking spot and people keep parking there, it says that people will get towed and it never happens. I've been paying for parking for what? To park all the way in the back? Everyone parks wherever they want and there's even a car that parks sideways taking 2 spots. Ridiculous.Property Manager Responded

Worst Complex Experience Yet
October 12, 2018I stayed at Sycamore Creek apartments just to abide by my lease agreement for the full 12months, paid rent on time and wasn't much of a bother. I've stayed at a total of 5 seperate complexes who have stated I was a great tenant and paid me back deposits in full. However, Sycamore Creek is by far the worst I've come across. They failed to fix any of the issues which included the seal around my entrance door, leaving a noticeable gap across the bottom still when "fixed". Leaving me to constantly ...spray for bugs just in case and a consistant A/C unit running. Which at one point began leaking, I waited 2 weeks for maintenance to show up for a 10-15minute job even though they called the day after and never showed. After having gone down to the office in person repeatedly to report it since it was ruining the carpet beyond the bowls I had laid out to catch it. Mind you nothing was repaired from my original walk thru! After having all my tires slashed and informing the office of the situation they still tagged my vehicle that evening to be towed knowing I was working on it the next day. When doing so multiple tenants told me of vandalism issues they had experienced from punks in the neighborhood. Included were my custom painted running boards getting lifted, but the office stated there was patrol security when confronted. It was the worst complex out of a total of 5 different locations that I've dealt with. The staff was face friendly and didn't manage to help in any of the situations instead they even tried to charge me after having bleach cleaned the kitchen, bathroom, and painted the apartment upon move out myself! I'm a younger woman that lives alone with my dog and for the first time I felt my kindness being taken advantage of. Do NOT recommend this complex by any means, even tenants of 25 years are now moving out as well since the latest management which changed at least 3 times with in the year I was there.Property Manager Responded

Bait and Switch Scam Renters BEWARE
March 7, 2018First they will quote you one price and then ADD to it tons of fees that are outrageous! Then when you are getting approved, they will ADD to your rent!!! They quoted one price, then after applying (with excellent credit, no criminal background, etc.) this place added $42 to the monthly rent while the process was happening--less than 2 days! When we called Sycamore Creek, they were NOT helpful one bit. Then $100 fee just to apply is not refunded!! Real scam IMO. Bait & Switch unethical apartment ...management!! Just want others to know what happens after you see their lovely apartments and get ready to rent. Renters BEWARE!!Property Manager Responded

Don't do it
January 22, 2018This place seems great when you first move in.. but the staff is very difficult. First off, maintenance is an issue. It takes up to 2 weeks to get something fixed, even if it's a clogged sink with standing water, or a broken air conditioner in the middle of summer. Second thing, they will tow your car right from the parking lot of your own apartment complex, without warning, at your expense. I know multiple people who have been towed and they have no sympathy or remorse. Third, the washer and ...dryer situation is bad, tiny rooms, super hot, and half the machines don't work or leave your clothes half washed. The worst experience has been with the staff tho honestly, nothing is their fault or their problem. They never know where anything is, they lose packages, they are totally incompetent and heartless. Can't wait until my lease is up- and just saw good reviews from people so I thought I'd save them the trouble. Oh and the four pools they have? July 26, 2015Sycamore Creek is a peaceful kept clean apartment complex I've lived here for 3 yrs n I love it! They have nice staff workers they are very friendly, they have 4 different pools which are kept clean n I love swimming in them. They have friendly people living here as well n kids for those who have kids will have some nice friends to meet. Its a pet friendly which is great for pets to live as well as us; make sure to clean up after them the apts provide baggies for ur pets business n little trash ...cans nearby.
