Worst Living Experience – Avoid at All Costs

Do yourself a favor and stay far away from Tara Apartments. If I could give zero stars, I would. Living at Tara Apartments has been nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I moved in, the place was filthy I’m talking stained carpets, a sticky kitchen floor, mold in the bathroom, and a smell that just never went away. Maintenance? Nonexistent. You’ll be lucky if they even answer your request, let alone fix anything properly. I had roaches, broken ac, and paint chipping off the walls all ...
while paying full rent like it’s luxury living. The management is either overwhelmed or just doesn't care. Save yourself the stress, the health risks, and the disappointment.

Worst place to live

Too many immigrants moved into this complex anyone can just live here doesn’t feel safe loud noise complaints big old bugs, crawling into your home window’s. No screens for your windows, constant being inconvenience with your home temperature that you have no control because it goes it works based off an old chiller system from the 80s Save your money move somewhere else.

Some Negatives but Overall Good

Price is great. Management takes forever to respond back. Omar was amazing but I haven't seen him in forever. Lots of Dogs and lots of people not picking up after their dog. My apartment doesnt have a washer and dryer so I have to use the community one. It is freighting to go there and they always seem to not fully clean my clothes. Maintance is awful. Be prepared to wait forever. Water shuts off randomly and leaks will happen from AC and they do nothing to fix it.

Horrible

absolutely everything is bad. AC out for weeks at a time during the summer. Water outage, if you have ANY maintenance issue brace yourself with patience because the only time they will actually answer your maintenance call it’s if it affects other apartments as well. Overall everything is bad. Save yourself the future headache. I have had the same water leak in the shower and living room since august 2023 - I have called, emailed, begged for help but no one cares.

Terrible Management with unlivable conditions

A/C and hot water has gone out for days. This makes apartment unlivable during hot Texas weather. Management refuses to reimburse tenants for finding alternative housing or loss of use.

New management not great
December 17, 2020
They changed management not very long after I moved in. It was all bills paid when I first rented, it was good size apartment. After new management it no longer was all bills paid yet we could not control air conditioning unit. I was told when signing lease that we could opt out of cable bill if we didn't use it. I asked to be taken off cable as I never needed it. Turns out later they still charged me since their contract with that provider had not ended. As soon as I let Javier (property ...
manager) know that it was their secretary's fault for the misunderstanding he stopped responding to my emails. And the secretary basically said she said that because she thought that was gonna happen so she admitted it being her words. They were not well informed and I had to pay for it, had I known I wouldn't have renewed my lease then. At move out it was another ordeal as I set an appointment for a walkthrough of apartment and the secretary apparently did not schedule it. When I got there on time Javier was on lunch. They couldn't even apologize for having me wait 30 minutes for their mistake. Honestly this complex can do so much better than current management.

This is a great place for those seeking a well priced apartment in a great neighborhood. It is right on bus lines, within walking distance to a variety of restaurants and local grocery-stores.
