Bad property Management
November 5, 2025I lived at Teakwood for three years with zero issues — until new management and new neighbors came in. That’s when everything changed. It felt like that Netflix documentary where the neighbor calls the police over and over on someone who’s just trying to live. I lived in an upstairs unit with weak floors, and simply walking to my car or inside my apartment became a problem. I was harassed by neighbors and even maintenance, outside and inside my own home, questioned and watched for just existing ...in my space. My child and I endured nasty comments, intimidation, and bullying just going to and from our door. On top of that, there were mold and roach issues, flooding in the building, and the grounds were poorly kept because many residents didn’t clean up after their dogs. When I reported these concerns, the response from the new staff was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. And when the living situation became unsafe and unbearable, I was pushed to leave—then charged an early termination fee anyway, for leaving the very environment they created. I work, I paid rent on time, I stayed to myself, and I took care of my home. But peace, safety, and basic respect were not valued here. No one should have to feel afraid in the place they live. I have since moved and purchased a home in a peaceful, beautiful community, and I will never rent an apartment again after what I experienced at Teakwood. No accountability/bad attitudes
February 4, 2025If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The new management in the office is awful. The property is awful. There’s dog poop everywhere. The fences are falling apart. Make sure you document everything because the office will tell you you’re lying. Their maintenance guys say that they show up and they never do. Work orders don’t get fixed in a timely manner or properly. My work orders from when I moved into this unit over a year ago are still not done. They close them out and tell you to ...open new ones. Or say we came by, but you weren’t home. We have ring cameras. They are very good at passing the buck and saying that’s not their problem. I would highly recommend NOT moving here. There is nothing luxury about it. Not to mention the major events that were quite terrifying that happened to here in 2024. It would have been nice to get a notice from the office that a hostage situation was happening on the property and what transpired after. Not an email after the fact. September 9, 2019Claire was very friendly and professional, she immediate greeted me as I arrived at the office and happily showed me around the apartment complex. She answered all my question I had. The apartment grounds were clean and looked well maintained. The pools were also very clean and big.The gym looked up to date with lots of equipment to use where other apartments I toured had smaller pools and a single treadmill they considered a gym. The apartment unit itself is specious enough for my room mate ...and I to have enough privacy and not feel cramped. The kitchen is nice and spacious with granite counter tops. The AC unit blew nice cool air with out making any loud noises that older apartments air conditioners tend to have. Having a smart lock on the door is a plus in case you leave your keys inside by accident, very convenient. We came by on the weekend as well to see if the complex was loud but all the residents seem to be pretty quiet which is another plus. Office Staff is So Helpful!
August 17, 2019Marley was so helpful and honest the entire time. My husband and I are dealing with a stressful situation and having to move and Marley in the front office made me fell so much less stressed and at home. The property is beautiful! I love how up to date their technology is and I'm super excited about the keyless entry and the app where I can control my a/c and locks from anywhere with my phone.
