    Yes the location and apartment spaces are great however it is not worth everything else you have to deal with. The WIFI does not reach the entire apartment. The parking is awful you are either blocked in or blocking someone in and have to move your car. Don't plan on living here if you use your car a lot. There is no guest parking. The management is absolutely terrible. We have had a several leaks in our ceiling since September it is January now and still no work has been done at all to fix the ...
    leaks. The place was not cleaned on moving in and holes and screws were left in the walls. There was trash left. DO NOT SIGN HERE

  • Unbeatable location and amazing features!!!

    The location is unbeatable! Walking distance to downtown and class!! So many awesome features including 2 balconies, a wine cooler in the kitchen, a chalkboard wall (which is so fun especially for guests), there's also a flat screen in the living room and on the balcony! The floor plan is so spacious so you aren't on top of one another. The closets are also HUGE! Can't beat it!!

    The location is great as well as the floor plan of the individual units on Glenn Ave, however, the management is the worst of the worst. I’ve lived here for four years, since they first opened up, and the following sums up my entire experience. Please note EVERYTHING I comment on has been reported and requested to be fixed to management and representatives of the owners, however, NOTHING has ever been done. Our ceiling is caving in and water leaks in, we have had our sink fall through the island, ...
    glass sliding door in the living room is so misaligned from the frame bees started getting in during the spring, multiple blinds broken for multiple years without being replaced, windows not installed right in bedrooms so water leaks into rooms when it rains as well as bugs, WiFi doesn’t connect properly, our walls look awful because they were painted by a colorblind man, and all of our toilet seats have broken off. Also, multiple units have been robbed including my own by a man who has scaled Balcony to Balcony to get into units claiming “his girlfriend is locked out” and just walks into units claiming he “is picking up something from the tenants on the third floor.” Live elsewhere. This place is a joke.

  • Disappointed tenant!

    There is no retail, no guest parking in fact your car will get towed 24 hours a day 7 days a week , no security, not gated and no clubhouse, pool, workout room, no complex landscaping just trash everywhere, dirty common areas, expensive rent, active train track and derelict buildings on both sides. So many new apartments popping up everywhere with amenities and more security. I wouldn’t live here.

      Thank you for taking the time to write a review as we value all input! We understand your concern regarding the towing system we have in place for The Balcony parking lot. Please understand that our location is a prime location that many non-residents attempt to take advantage of being in close proximity to both Downtown Starkville and Mississippi State. In an effort to combat this, we must ensure all paying Tenants, first and foremost, have an available space before guests and/or others who try to take advantage of our parking. Regarding security, we are looking into adding a courtesy officer to our team! However, we would like to make note of the cameras we have placed at every hallway, entrances to the building, entrance to parking lot, and overlooking the parking lot that helps keep a watchful eye if-ever anything were to need attention. I believe this in conjunction with our electronic key access to the building helps. The Balcony provides a wonderful one of a kind (at this ...
      time) Sky Lounge to all Balcony residents with 7 TVs, lounge seating, ping-pong table, and darts for your enjoyment with roommates and/or guests. In addition to this, Balcony residents are always welcome to use our Cardio Fitness Room. I do apologize if you feel these amenities are not adequate. We are always looking for new ways to enhance our amenities for our residents and will take not of your concern while looking into providing additional value within Balcony! Throughout my tenure at The Balcony, there has never been an actual train to pass through; only testing of the signals during normal office hour times. And while The Grill restaurant is a direct building beside The Balcony, it serves as a wonderful benefit to all Balcony residents as it's an easy 1-2 minute walk to get to one of Starkville's favorite restaurants.
