About The Berkeley
Nestled in Fort Worth's prestigious Berkeley neighborhood, The Berkeley Apartments feature accommodations more reminiscent of townhouses than typical city apartments. Choose one, two or three bedrooms and your desired features and upgrades. On-site amenities include a fitness center and pool, so you’ll definitely want to schedule a tour soon. Located just south of Downtown Fort Worth, our apartments feature walk-in closets, attached garages and freestanding islands, just to name a few of the interior luxuries you’ll find. Other features include nine-foot ceilings, open layouts, black appliances, updated countertops (with upgrades available) and more. Choose a one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment in your desired square feet, from 673 to 1,376. As mentioned above, they feel more like townhomes than typical apartments. Enjoy a sprawling resort-style pool with lush landscaping and ample seating nearby. We have a large sauna attached to the pool and plenty of areas for relaxing with conversation as you unwind from your day. Or, if you prefer to let off some steam, we have an on-site fitness center with new cardio, yoga and weightlifting equipment, as well as plenty of room for floor exercises. Finally, our resident clubhouse is another popular amenity. Stay away!
January 21, 2026Do not waste your time here. They will tell you that they can get you approved in 24-48 hours and then continue to drag their feet. When you ask them to cancel the application because they can’t get their own screening process to work, they will still charge you for the screening process because you were approved. Funny that I was never provided notification or a lease for being approved. They will not respond to inquiries for 48 hours. It’s a blessing in disguise that we were on a time crunch ...and had to pursue somewhere else. This leasing office is a hot mess. I’d especially steer clear of Christina, Jah, and Jasmin. Staff will just give you the run around. Make sure that all your interactions with them are in email form or they will lie that they didn’t speak to you. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else, especially if they respond to maintenance issues as quickly as they respond to other phone calls and emails.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Don't move here / Zero customer service
November 25, 2024DONT MOVE HERE. I lived here for 4 years, and it has fallen apart. There are feral cats, dog poop everywhere, and maintenance requests are never completed promptly. There is zero security (no cameras) & the whole city uses the pool like it's a community one. Your mail packages will consistently get lost in the locker room. On top of that, the current management staff is the worst I've ever seen in my time here. The front office historically will miscommunicate, prioritize people touring over ...existing residents, and act annoyed if you come in asking for help. I used to love & defend this place when I heard complaints, but I genuinely cannot stand the awful communication / management. You should not have to handhold your landlord like I did. DO NOT LIVE HERE
June 7, 2021I lived here for a short period of time and am so disappointed. The Berkeley is not a secure place at all. They have absolutely no security cameras anywhere, not even in the only two gates they have. They claim it's too expensive and would be useless, even after cases of theft. It's extremely easy for absolutely anyone to get in the complex. The move-out charges are ridiculous. I even thought I would get my deposit back. Let me warn you beforehand, you won't. I took really good care of my unit. ...Regardless, I was charged en entire carpet replacement, and many other things, total of $500. They kept my deposit AND charged me more. Now that I'm reading reviews I can see it's pretty common. They WILL try to screw you financially. The only reason I'm giving 1 star is because I really like Maria who works at the front desk in the office. She was always super nice and always tried to help. Regardless, don't live here. Horrible Operation - Buyer Beware
July 6, 2019Ten Facts:. 1) Didn't disclose until after I signed my lease that they charge $100 per month for a washer and dryer. 2) Drug dealer making sales on the property day and night, but the Berkeley would do nothing about it. 3) Tenants blasted very loud wall-shaking music, but the Berkeley would do nothing about it. 4) Management promised to put furniture being delivered into a secure place, but left it outside to be stolen. 5) Contract terms are very one-sided in the Berkley's favor and may result ...in massive costs to you if you don't abide by their terms; read the contract twice. 6) There is virtually no security because the security people rarely patrol and wouldn't show up when called. There are no security cameras. The security gate is a joke because cars just piggy-back behind other cars. 7) Management wouldn't allow Amazon Delivery to deliver packages to my mailbox or the Luxer One lockers, so they'd be left outside my apartment door and get stolen. 8) When my lease termed out and I was being checked out, they charged me to have the carpet cleaned for what was just normal wear. 9) The people at the office were incompetent. 10) They never did anything that exceeded my minimal expectations.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Don’t rent here if you want a quiet apartment
November 19, 2018Have had ongoing problems with the office/mgmt company. Complex is full of students. Very loud. Office doesn’t care. They say “that’s just apartment living.” We’ve had constant issues with noise, trash, loose dogs. There have also been a string of car breakins in the past year. Stay Away!!!
August 23, 2018I lived at the Berkeley for 2 and a half years before buying a house and moving out. Before the new management took over, the complex was incredible, well maintained, the staff was friendly and there were constantly community events and perks. With the new management none of that holds true. The front staff is rude and makes it very clear that they don't want you talking to them. Worst of all is the move out process. It's been 3 weeks since we moved out and the only way we get any information on ...our deposit and final charges is from calling them repeatedly until we get the run around yet again. In their latest excuse they're refusing to apply our deposit to the charges and threatening to charge us extra for a monthly discount we got as a part of our lease agreement when we first agreed to live there. Despite the fact that we signed a legal contract that states all the terms of our lease, they're trying to extract every penny from long term tenants that never missed a payment. January 17, 2018As a victim of stalking and a past abusive relationship, nowhere is "safe proof" from continued harassment. The Berkeley Staff is professional and kind (when other locations/staff have judged & placed blame without knowing details and/or made the Tenant feel worse or crazy). I hope to have the situation resolved soon, so that we have less requests for help and more time to enjoy all that the property has to offer!!
