About The Castle Apartments
Castle Apartments has one unfurnished studio left for this year. Jully or August move-in dates are available. All of our leasing is done online. Contact us today to apply! Since 1999, the Castle Apartments have been serving Tucsonans seeking a safe, quiet and affordable residence in the heart of central Tucson. This 32 unit, family owned and operated apartment community is located just half a mile from the University of Arizona and less than a mile from Downtown Tucson, and popular shopping and dining destination 4th Avenue. All apartments are air conditioned, and water, gas and trash disposal are paid with the cost of rent. WIFI is also available for only $20 per month! Amenities include a swimming pool, a full size basketball court, bar-b-que, laundry facilities and free off-street parking. Available Now: Apartment #26: Large 2nd floor expanded studio apartment. This unit has a large walk in closet and a view of the community back yard area. The monthly rent is $850 (single occupancy) including gas and water. The lease must begin no later than August 1st and will end July 29, 2027. All of our leasing is done online. We will not be offering tours. Contact us today to apply. Dogs are not allowed at Castle Apartments. Cats and other small pets may be allowed with applicable pet deposit, but pets are not allowed in our furnished units. Smoking is not allowed in the building. All rental prices are single occupancy. Rental prices for our unfurnished units include gas, water and trash disposal. A low flat-rate electricity fee of $80 is added to the rental price for all unfurnished apartments. Additional rental fees ($100 per month) will be added for double occupancy. Furnished apartments include all major utilities and WIFI, cable is not included.

The apartment themselves are nice it has a lot of character being built in the 1900’s and everything feels well built. Though this place seems prone to robbery. 1st month living here my car was broken into as well as several other. The landlord blamed it on me saying I must have not locked my car. That was also the same answer I heard when the on site bike shed was broken into and my bike was stolen. Even though this property has a rash of theft management will blame it on you. The apartment themselves are okay the tile is nice and the walls are thick so you don't hear a lot of noise from the neighbors but expect a couple of things to smell weed very strongly on weekends, the washer machine to have some mold and mildew, and for your car to get broken into at least once no matter what management says. Safe and gated community should be terms used very loosely you will see homeless people rummaging through the trash and people hopping in and out of the apartment. The ...

I was moved into the Castle Apartments because a friend recommended this place to me. I would like to do the same by recommending this place to any who spends the time to read my review. The one thing that sticks out when I look back to my two years at the Castle is the kindness the management shows to their tenants. manager, Patrick, lives on-site so it is convenient in the event that there is an emergency.
Furthermore, the actual living areas are authentic. I've lived around the U of A area for 6 years and one of my biggest complaints are the paper thin walls some newer homes and apartments have. This building was built with much thicker walls that result in a sound proof living.
The proximity to the University just cannot be beat. I work on University Blvd and go to school. It takes me no more than 5 minutes driving time to get to class or work! In addition ALL the utilities are included, which make it perfect for a college student or anyone looking to save throughout the year.
If you are considering an affordable studio bedroom close to campus look no further than the Castle Apartments!

I just wanted to give a quick comment on living The Castle life! I have lived here for approximately 3 years and in 2 different units. I am currently in what I believe to be the prime unit...The Tower room! The atmosphere here is very different, in that you actually feel separated from the hustle of the city, but at the same time, minutes and a walk away from the U of A and 4th Ave! very understanding and take care of the situation, whether it's personal or something to do with maintenance. I love bringing friends over to enjoy an awesome skyline view of the city having a BBQ and swimming in the secluded pool. It is a very relaxing part of The Castle! The history of the building adds to the ambiance along with our personal Knight in the front lobby! He makes a good late night friend! LOL
If there was any negative thing I would change/add, it would be the need for resident Meet and Greets, since most of the tenants are college students and the turnover of people fluctuates from year to year. I would love to meet new people with different life experiences at a relaxed poolside party from time to time. And the one and only thing I would add, would be a jacuzzi/spa to relax in the evening and enjoy the serenity of The Castle!
I will be the first to say, The Castle is the place I have and will call home for years to come!

The apartments are within walking/bicycling distance of the University, Main Gate, Fourth Avenue, and downtown.
