About The Cedars Studio
Cedars Apartments offer spacious units in a serene, tree-lined community that matches the complex's cabin-like fasade. Our studios have open layouts, in which a large closet and separate kitchen area gives the effect of multiple rooms. Providing natural light to an already warm space, some units feature sliding glass doors that lead to a private patio where residents can enjoy long sunny days. October 18, 2025I would not recommend living at this apartment complex. Since early August 2025, all residents have been required to move their cars off the property or risk being towed. This was due to construction for new ADU units, which involved tearing up the entire parking lot to install new electrical systems, as confirmed by the contractors. From the start, safety has been a serious concern. For several weeks, contractors parked heavy equipment in a way that completely blocked the only entrance to the ...complex, which could have prevented emergency vehicles from entering during a fire or medical emergency. When I brought this up to the on-site manager, she admitted she had no keys or control over those vehicles. While the equipment was eventually moved, residents’ safety was compromised for weeks because of poor planning and lack of oversight. In the meantime, residents have been forced to park off-site, sometimes half a mile away. There are nearby businesses with available lots, yet management has made no effort to arrange temporary parking for residents. The trenches in the parking lot have been sitting for quite some time, yet there’s still no clear update on when they will be fully covered. This has caused ongoing inconvenience for all tenants. We’ve been told to park on the street, but finding a spot nearby is nearly impossible. If the trenches are already mostly filled, it makes no sense that temporary metal plates haven’t been installed so residents can at least use the parking spaces in the meantime. It feels like management has given little thought to how this construction impacts tenants’ daily lives. There have been no clear updates, no schedule, and no explanation for the long delays or lack of progress. For months, residents have received no updates or support while paying full rent for amenities we cannot use. The lack of communication, transparency, and consideration from management and corporate is completely unacceptable. If you are considering moving here, be aware that parking is not guaranteed, construction has been ongoing for months with no clear end in sight, and communication from management is almost nonexistent. Great property manager
October 1, 2025I lived in Cedars Studios for 3 years and had a great experience. It's located in a great part of town next to the Pruneyard and Campbell Park, and downtown is a 10 minute walk away. The units are small but cozy. There are some small things I wish I could change, like I wish the loud garbage trucks didn't come so early in the morning. And that the current construction being done would be completed faster. But overall my unit was a pleasant, well-maintained place to live. The property manager is ...Ruth Ann, an awesome lady who knows to take care of her tenants. She was always responsive to any questions or maintenance requests. I had maintenance requests to change a ceiling light, swap out a door lock, and replace an electrical outlet, and all those requests were handled promptly without any issue. You will never know a moments peace....
August 13, 2025The Cedars provides "housing" but it is definitely not a HOME. WORKING FROM HOME here is impossible due to the constant noise (you have been forewarned). A home is where it is supposed to be peaceful, tranquil and secure (amongst other things). Due to the constant noise from construction (building ADU's thanks to CA government Housing Initiative), loud garbage AND recycling trucks, VERY LOUD gas leaf-blowers (which, by law, is operating too close to the units for the decibel--level that these ...blowers produce. Forget having any kind of work-meeting.) This severely diminishes the quality-of-life aka your HOME. At any given time, the owners can decide to convert (MORE) garages into ADU's thereby causing a major disruption to your personal and professional life. Because this government seems to be unhinged, they may start relaxing more codes thereby allowing them to add another level (build up). It is packed very tightly with no breathing-room now that more people will be here (in a very tight space). Also, there are monthly issues with the water-pipes (i.e. only cold water and then having no access to water due to the emergency maintenance having to "fix" the issue. Plus rats, yes you read that correctly)..........repeatedly. Great area!
January 5, 2025Great place to rent! Was here for over a year with no complaints great view its calm and great surrounding would definitely recommend if you want a calm safe place to live! Management gets any problems you have resolved quick and efficient also the pool always gets clean every week as well as the laundry room with a parking port and you can rent out a garage for a little extra a month if needed! Perfect little spot
January 29, 2024I lived at Cedars for about 18 months and it was an incredible experience for me. The unit is a perfect size, hardwood floors and a giant walk in closet. The property is really safe, and the best value in Campbell as far as rent. I appreciated how quiet it is, and how helpful the management is. The property manager Ruth Ann was a pleasure to know, always there to help and make sure everything is up and running. Avoid this place
August 5, 2022There are plenty of other nicer, remodeled units in the same area for cheaper. Only consider this place if there's nothing else on the market. There are lots of problems with living here. If you live in a bottom unit, expect to hear every footstep from upstairs. Old construction and poor flooring end up in squeaking noises all the time. The appliances, such as bathroom vanity and blinds, are low quality and made of flimsy materials that are prone to break with normal use. My unit even had a ...damaged bathroom vanity when I moved in even though they claimed it was brand new. Also, my blinds weren't installed correctly when I moved in and prevented me from closing my kitchen window. I also had my fare share of dealing with bugs. My tub and toilet weren't caulked to the floor, so bugs would come out every night until maintenance fixed it. I had a bunch of ants come into my unit with no changes in my living conditions. The AC unit in the kitchen wasn't properly sealed to the wall and left a gap open to the outside. There were at least 4 instances in June 2022 where there were issues with the water and brown water came out from my sinks. Prime location and great staff
August 5, 2022100% echo the post from 8/4. The location is ideally located down the street from the Pruneyard and just around the corner from Los Gatos Creek Trail and downtown Campbell. Ruth Ann and other covering managers were always very responsive with maintenance needs and Ruth Ann in particular was always looking out for her residents. Great Location and Responsive Manager
August 3, 2022Cedars Studio is a no-frills studio apartment living. The location is just a couple of blocks away from the Pruneyard and downtown Campbell, with easy access to 880/17. The rental prices are one of the cheapest in the area. Don't expect new construction, luxury, or large units (none exceed ~400 sqft); however, this place has a very responsive, caring staff and maintenance that give off that small-town family feel. During the two years I lived here, Ruth Ann has always been responsive and ...shows concern about any issues that came up with my unit. I've had a stove replaced, a bathroom fan replaced, and flooring redone, all addressed sometimes within days after I brought each maintenance request to her attention. If it took longer than a week, she would notify me of when it would get done. There were issues with the boiler but she was very communicative about status updates and had it repaired promptly. Mediocre with some problems
October 14, 2021Pros: - new property manager is on top of things and gets maintenance requests worked on asap - quiet and clean complex Cons: - water bill is an average of the surrounding units (usually $70-$80/month) - took a month to get a key to the pool gates (had to keep calling management and hold them responsible) - floors are uneven (the floors sink in some parts of the unit) - countertops look like granite but they're just particleboard with a nice appearance - some appliances are very old - my unit ...had lots of broken or incorrectly installed new appliances, which could have been fixed before I moved inRead MoreReview from Apartments.com

Great place to live
September 8, 2020The property itself was very enjoyable both inside and out of the studio apartments. The pool was a nice feature on those hot summer days, and the common areas were always very nicely maintained. From moving in, to moving out, management was incredible! They always made everything very easy and responded within minutes to any problems. To top, the management onsite always treated you well and with a smile. July 9, 2020I have been living in Studio Apartments for 6 years. Very convenient location, close to Downtown Campbell. It’s a very nice, very green, relatively quiet place to live. Safe and well maintained. Plenty of the space inside of the unit. You are welcome to put any plants outside on the porch. Neighbors are very welcoming. The manager made me feel at home. Ruth Ann has always been a great help and you'll be in great hands if you work with her. If there is any problem – you are being helped right ...away. Never waited more than a day to get help.
