Very overpriced and a poorly managed apartment complex. They rely on a great location and a population of college kids who don't know any better to stay afloat. When I moved in the apartment was covered in mold, the sink was clogged, and the flooring was peeling off in what is advertised as (and priced) as a luxury downtown Charleston apartment. When I initially moved in the floor in my apartment vibrated every time the tenant below me used their HVAC. I was told there was nothing they could do to solve the problem and after a couple weeks of living in a hotel and having to get corporate involved, the problem was finally resolved but no offer was ever made to compensate me ...

This usually happens when a change of hands occurs of ownership and unclear guidance on where people's jobs begin and end. Elan apartments are a great place to call home in downtown Charleston. Conveniently located to King St. and a short walk to the market. The apartments are very nice and the courtyard and pool are a great place to relax with plenty of room. The front staff are friendly and helpful with any issues.
