They’ll keep your security deposit
January 21, 2025AVOID. The property is unkept, there are broken mailboxes, consistently stolen packages, constant fire alarms, and a hazardous amount of bird poop that gets loudly power-washed weekly—only for it to return immediately. As a young, able-bodied person, I never imagined I’d break my foot just walking through the poorly maintained property, but that’s exactly what happened. Following the incident the main elevator in the building was out of use and stayed out of operation for over 3 months. At one ...point, none of the buildings elevators were operational at the same time. My car window was smashed in the building’s parking garage and when I reported it, the front office showed zero concern and refused to provide assistance without a subpoena. Water to the entire building was out for over a week. The gym was closed for 6+ months. Despite leaving our apartment swept and empty when we moved out, they kept 85% of our security deposit without providing any notice. When they did provide the itemizations the charges were inflated and unreasonable. AVOID.Property Manager Responded

We are working with a professional company to train the crows to another area, as this has been a broader challenge within Shirlington Village. Additionally, we conduct pressure washing twice a week to maintain cleanliness, and we sincerely apologize if this caused any inconvenience with the noise as we tried to clean up the bird mess. Elevator and Fitness Center Closures: We understand the inconvenience caused by the temporary closures of these amenities. These issues were addressed as quickly as possible given the complexity of the repairs. Please note, as outlined in your lease agreement, ownership reserves the right to close amenities, which are not included as part of ...your rent. Parking Garage Security: Resident safety and security are top priorities. We strongly encourage residents to report any incidents to law enforcement, as their involvement is essential to take certain necessary steps. For clarity on lease agreements, including security deposit and maintenance procedures, we encourage residents to review the terms provided at move-in. July 16, 2024This property is overlooking a lovely, lively portion of the Shirlington neighborhood in Arlington but it can’t keep up with how great the area is. During my time here, there have been multiple elevators that were out of service, a fitness center that was flooded, even my own apartment among other things. Management refused to take responsibility for the flooding in my apartment and came up with poor excuses and left me with a non habitable space during the last few weeks of my lease.
