November 11, 2025The landlord charges fee in one or other form even after handing over to them in good condition. They often find way to charge carpet cleaning fee of $200. Very GreedyProperty Manager Responded

Hidden fees and non refundable applications- Be Careful!
September 24, 2020Hidden fees for gym and amenities, and that was just the start.... While applying to The Club at Dowling Village I noticed an additional fee after the rent advertised just to use their gym and amenities. Strange but when you need an apartment you have no choice and proceed forward. Reviewing my charges there is a $250 Admin Fee(mine was non refundable so they now say) $75 a person for a credit check (so X2 for 2 people). An animal application of $35. This is all before the $500 dollar holding ...fee. Yes you pay $400 just to apply! I was approved and asked to withdraw my application, I was told I would be refunded $250 and later confirmed my mailing address a week later. Now a month later I am told because I was approved and with my application (before paying a holding deposit- that means I withdrew my application within 3 days of approval) I can not receive a refund of $250. After paying over $400 to apply and I can’t even receive $250 back! I can’t imagine the charges they will drag out of you while living here.Property Manager Responded
March 18, 2022Landlord regrets that there will occasionally be people who will post derogatory comments on social media in an attempt to leverage their position or hurt management or a staff person for some perceived slight. Much as we might like to respond in detail, we do not publicly disclose information about any former tenant’s specific situation. Suffice to say that we dispute the statements posted by this individual, and suggest anyone interested come take a look at the property and meet our staff for yourself.
