Wonderful Place To Live
January 31, 2025A true community! The management and maintenance changes truly do show. They are all considerate, polite and full of energy. We love The Colony!
May 12, 2022In my experience, The Colony is a great place to live. My mother-in-law lived here for a little over a year, and they went out of their way to help her with anything she needed. They are very considerate people, and the maintenance guys were quick to fix all the problems. The office staff was super friendly, and always made sure she always felt welcomed! I would recommend The Colony to anyone. It is definitely the best of Columbus!Property Manager Responded

Don't move here
August 14, 2020If you like old apartments with bad plumbing, poor management, always absent office staff, frequent gunshots from the area across the street, hearing your neighbors every move and lack luster maintenance then this is the place for you. If not, stay far away.Property Manager Responded

Use to be a great place to live.
November 1, 2016I live here now and the staff is disrespectful of people personal property and they leave a mess. They come in your apartment without notice, when there is no emergency, leave the lights on and do not leave a note. The new Manager is incompetent. I signed a lease with her but she keep putting notes on my door about signing a lease. I still have not been reimbursed for my property, it has been two months now. But they still expect their rent. If you do not sign a new lease two months before your ...old lease ends they will charge you $10 extra each month, if you wait till after the by date. Looks like you should be trying to keep your tenants instead of running them off. lawn and trimming of tree's are not up to the standards that they should be. b They chose not to hire a real Lawn service, they let the district Manager Husband/boyfriend cut it, which seem like a conflict and a violation. Caring!!!
September 17, 2015I'm a divorced woman and really had no where to go..my ex-husband let our home go into foreclosure to I couldn't be in the home...luckily I have awesome friends who let me live with them until I could save money to get my own place. Heather the complex manager is awesome, she helped me so much; I was going thru my divorce and she made sure my ex couldn't get any info on me, and when my apartment flooded 2x, she offered to let me stay in the model apartment until mine was fixed. She has the best ...personality, and is willing to do all she can to help in any way possible. I love the complex, because the people are so nice and caring of all the tenants; they are very attentive to the needs of the tenants; the club house and pool is spectacular, and the up keep on the grounds are always beautiful. The best thing for me is because I have a bad ankle, when I first moved in the only thing that was available was an upstairs apt, but as soon as a down stairs apt became available she immediately gave me first choice and yes I accepted, lol...The complex always have movie night for the tenants, we have a book club, and they do something special for all holidays...I love this complex, it's well maintained, quiet and very convenient to all the shopping stores. June 15, 2013I own my home in another state and I am here on business like several other tenants who live here. I regret moving here, the leasing manager is rude, they charge for things that were documented as being wrong during the move-in when you move out. They have roaches, rats, and other rodents. My co-worker came home twice and found mice in here apartment and she is a neat freak. They do not pay you for referrals as promised. Also New Hope is a good school and they use that to suck people in because ...the city schools here have a bad rep. The truth is the same things are happening in both schools, however you just don't here about all the drama in New Hope. There are several other apartments in Columbus for rent that do not come up online, do yourself a favor and contact a real estate company they will help you find other apartments, condos, townhouses, houses, whatever you need just NOT THE COLONY ON HIGHWAY 182 EASTRead MoreReview from Apartments.com
The Worst Apartment Complex due to lack of Mangement & Communication
January 23, 2013The office staff was very nice at 1st unitl late fees started to be given when money was already paid on time. The property has been thru numerous mangements officals over a 2 years time period. They have very poor lack of communication between cooprate and office officals, and when you try to talk to them they give off smart attidudes. Very terriable apartment complex to stay in due to manganment, lack of maintenance serivce, and non working regional copporate officals. Never gave recpits until ...many commplaints started, and not even then would you recieve an offical recepit, just a copy of your payment and you had to ask for it yourself if you wanted it. Best Place to Live!!
September 4, 2013We love living at The Colony. I am a long term resident and enjoy all The Colony has to offer. Yes, we have been through several managers however, our new manager is wonderful. She knows what she is doing and makes sure to take care of any concerns that may arise. I really have no complaints. Maintenance takes care of any problems when asked. Manager is friendly and always makes time for us. Moving to this community was the best decision we ever made and we are so happy to call it our home!Review from Apartments.com
