August 7, 2023Always neighborhood kids riding their bikes, cursing, and smoking weed in the parking garage. Garage door and elevators always broken. The building is next to a bus stop which brings a lot of people walking around asking for money. The roads are not well-paved, the speed bumps are always moved to random places.Review from Apartments.com
Not worth the price
September 27, 2015My apartment is nice, but small. For what I'm paying it is very expensive. Also, there are lots of monthly service fees making the rent significantly higher. And there is a zero tolerance policy with lateness for rent. I believe it is CT state law to allow tenents up to ten days to pay rent- obviously the goal is to pay on the 1st every month, but sometimes it just isn't possible. The Avalon takes legal action on day 2, which means more fees. I've lived here for 3 months and am sending in ...my 30 day notice tomorrow. Reasonably priced to start, however, up to 10% rental increase each year, giving reason to believe they do not encourage long-term tenants. Top Floor Loft Unit
August 8, 2015We've lived in our top floor loft unit for 3 years now. The apartment is only a one bedroom, but having the loft, with the extra storage room, makes the apartment seem much bigger. The kitchen is spacious, with lots of cabinets and counter space, including a large island. The bathroom is spacious, but the fixtures are a bit flimsy. And having a full-size washer and dryer in the unit is a huge plus! The community is ok, most people keep to themselves. The pool is nice, but gets crowded on the ...weekends. The BBQ grills are a nice touch, however, the burners don't always work so well. The office staff has a lot of turnover. Some of the staff are better trained than others. Central location gets you downtown without downtown costs
August 7, 2015situated right in the middle of SoNo, west Norwalk and east Norwalk, you're not far from downtown or the beach without paying the inflated downtown or beach rates. Luxury style living with premium amenities (think simple pleasures like in unit W/D and gym and pool). A lot of nice to haves that become necessities.Review from Apartments.com
A great choice
July 21, 2015I'm a 24year old, fresh out of school and this is my first apartment on my own and I love it here. The move in process all went smoothly the staff was very helpful in locking the elevator for me during my moving time. The apartment was professionally cleaned right before move in, they did a fabulous job. During my tour I couldn't view my exact layout but the staff was very helpful and emailed me pictures as soon as possible so I could plan furniture etc accordingly. The building is extremely safe ...and the parking is underground so the winter should be easy. Service requests are answered in a timely manner which was helpful during my cable installation. Although it's a little pricy I would say its worth the price tag. The only thing I don't love is the train that runs right behind the building at all hours. Can't really avoid that too much in this area since the train runs all over town but it is fairly loud due to its location.
