About The Continental Towers at Vermont Place

The Continental Apartments at Vermont Place are located on Meridian Street, just a few blocks north of Monument Circle. Continental is currently undergoing a renovation which includes reimagined amenities, quartz countertops, new flooring, stainless steel appliances, in-unit laundry, cabinetry, an expanded outdoor courtyard, and free parking! The Blacherne was completed in 1896 as a lavish apartment building on a scale Indianapolis had not yet seen. The Blacherne now houses 68 completely renovated apartments. Some of the features of these apartments include wood flooring, stainless steel appliances, and garage parking. The Turnverein Apartments, located on 9th and Meridian, was constructed in 1914 originally as a German Athletic Club. During a 1980 renovation, a center atrium was added and the original ball room, natatorium, and gymnasium were turned into a full sized penthouse and 50 apartments. Many of these apartments still boast original stained glass windows and walnut woodwork. The Turnverein was added to the National Register of Historic places in 1983 and stands out as one of Indianapolis’ finest addresses. The Rink Savoy Apartments, located on Vermont and N Illinois St were constructed in 1901 by Joseph Rink. The Rink was known as a very fashionable building, attracting many Indianapolis socialites who were shopping at Rink's Cloak House and Bee Hive Dry Goods. This community underwent a complete renovation in 2024 including new indoor and outdoor amenity spaces, hardwood flooring, quartz countertops and in-unit laundry.

I moved into one of the renovated units here at Continental and have been loving it so far! I am super close to work so I can walk and I'm also close enough to my favorite bars and restaurants that I don't have to uber/lyft. My apartment is on the smaller end, but its perfect for just me and gets great natural light. The office staff is friendly and helpful and made the application/move in process as easy as possible. Best complex downtown

I'm writing here because I definitely relied on these reviews when I moved to Indy. This complex has the best location- it's in walking distance to Mass Ave, Monument Circle, the Mall, the IUPUI campus, and so much more. I've never felt unsafe walking to or from my car at night, or in the surrounding area. The office staff is so nice and maintenance fixes problems right away. And the office is really good about notifying you when your packages arrive. For downsides, I'd say that parking is ...

annoying. Either you can park in the surface lot or in the parking structure. The surface lot is free but you're not guaranteed a spot, so I pay $85 to have an assigned parking space in their structure. I don't mind too much because most monthly parking is going to cost over $100 if you're downtown. Also, the windows are kind of old and so my electric bill goes up a lot in the winter. I put those window insulator things on a couple of my windows and it did go down some. Overall, I would definitely recommend this complex if you're looking to live downtown.

I lived at the Continental for a year and had a one bedroom apartment on the 7th floor. The floorplan I had was the Ritz and it's about 850sqft. Let me tell you if you get this apartment your bedroom is massive. It was massive for me because I lived alone. I only had my bed and desk, and still had more than enough space. Apart from the bedroom, the location is basically in the heart of downtown you're close to everything and its one of the many reasons why I chose to live here.

Greatest Bang for your buck!

The Continental Towers is such an amazing place to live. The staff is truly amazing. I lived there for 3 years with my wife and two daughters. Now you won't find any kids in the building now that we left, most likely. We were very sad to leave. The locations just can not be beat. It is located just blocks from everything Indy has to offer. Parking is available for free or paid garage parking. You probably won't need a car if you work downtown though. Just steps from all the restaurants, bars, ...

and venues you want to visit. The Continental Towers is the place to be. The layouts are great for anyone from singles, to roommates, or even couples who might be expecting. I have two daughters that lived with us and they were all very comfortable all the time. You won't see any other kids, probably, but it goes to show that the place is the safest and best downtown.

I have lived at The Continental for over 4 years and it's been a great place to live. It's affordable, great square footage with functional layouts and good amenities. The staff are friendly and the maintenance requests are handled promptly. The location is incredible with easy access to restaurants, bars and local events that happen frequently. Easy recommendation for anyone looking to move to Downtown Indianapolis.

You won't find a better combination of price and location. Lived here several years and have never had any issues. Apartments are very spacious with plenty of natural light. The staff is friendly and helpful. Maintenance is quick. The parking situation is better than anywhere else I looked downtown. Continental has all the amenities I need. And again, the location is perfect. Close to Mass Ave., close to the canal, close to the circle and everything downtown. If you want to live in downtown Indy ...
