January 28, 2024There is no such thing as the security or gated entry to the complex. During the three years living at The Courtney the gates are open at all times. Only on rare occasions has the gates been closed . You are charged for secured access but never feel secure. Anyone at anytime can enter the premises. Never any planned social events in the Clubhouse or decorative entryway at the Courtney. Great place to live; wonderful location
December 8, 2022Just moved her about 8 weeks ago but love everything about this place. Is super close to the beaches and anything else you could possibly wed. The staff here is great, our leasing consultant Jeff C was wonderful to work with; super responsive, knowledgeable, and professional. This carried over to the two times we needed to call maintenance- they were great as well. Floor plans and grounds are awesome. Can’t say enough about this placeProperty Manager Responded

Could easily improve…
January 23, 2022The staff here is great. Floor plans and grounds are awesome. Luxury? No! Cheapest appliances I’ve ever seen. Kitchen cab doors are missing 50% of their screws - they don’t close properly. Floors and walls are paper thin. I live in the very back of the neighborhood and it’s generally quiet except for the drain covers that make a very loud noise when driven over by my neighbors.Property Manager Responded

February 27, 2018We've lived here over a year while our house was under construction. Recently, we found out our house wasn't ready to move back to. Our lease was to expire and we found that our apt. was already rented. The office staff assured us we would not be homeless. They arranged for the people who wanted our apt. to move into another apt., so we could stay. What a relief that was....and a special thanks to the Courtney!Review from Apartments.com
Move out Day was best day ever
December 10, 2017Lived there for 2.5 years. Can hear everything in the apartment below, above, and to the side of you. My apartment was spotless and I cleaned every week. German cockroaches infiltrated the unit as well as the huge cockroaches. Found cockroaches in my Keriug machine, when I opened the door to outside, the porch, in drawers, in the bathroom. Completely disgusting and this was a brand new building. Pest control only came on the third Tuesday of the 2nd month when it’s a full moon so that was ...worthless. Also was charged an extra $600 for new carpet after move out for”pet stains”. Carpet is so cheap and gross in the first place, units should be covered with the fake wood laminate in entire unit to save on costs. Also charged $25 each month for garbage service which would rarely ever come and wouldn’t even pick up cardboard boxes. Ridiculous!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Beautiful but pricey
February 3, 2016My first apartment moving to FL. Close to the beach and nice pool. They got us in on a good deal. Then rent started to get really high. For what I was paying it wasnt worth it. They could upgrade the gym for one. Two parking is awful if you live in the front. Expect to walk 200 yards from your apartment. Three our washer sucked. When we used fabric Softener it would stain out sheets. I loved it here in the beginning until rent went up and parking got awful. Convenient
September 9, 2015Pros-Clean and New!! Close to beach, built-on the same property as a WalMart Supercenter. Also, across the street is the Bay Pines VA Hospital. Plenty of shopping close-by. Nice clubhouse amenities and staff. Great place if you love children and animals. Cons- A little pricey, only one pool (big complex), cheap construction (wood-frame, poor insulation)-no concrete floors like most condo buildings have. August 27, 2015I've lived here for one year now (moved in when it was a brand new building) and it's an absolutely wonderful place to live. The amenities are positively unmatched - with a large, diverse gym, a gorgeous walk-in, salt water pool, beautiful cabanas by the pool, incredible business center, dog park, kiddie playground, walking paths, two lakes... I could go on and on. It really is a wonderful place to live. I gave it four out of five as in the recent weeks, there have been several instances of ...trash being left around -- now I know there are maintenance crews who go around and clean it up (and they really shouldn't have to do that), but it definitely detracts from the elegance and beauty of the environment when there are empty cups left around the elevator walkway. It is also a bit more expensive than the others in its class, however I haven't found another complex that has everything this one does (like elevators in every building, a nice dog grooming station, an upscale car washing station, etc.) at the level of detail and aesthetics that the Courtney has. Plus, the clubhouse & game room are killer. They also put on social events regularly here, with free yoga classes, movies by the pool, etc. It really is a great community and we've had a great time here so far!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Go somewhere else....
August 14, 2015If you want to be a grown up living in a grown up world go somewhere else. If you want to relive your college days this is the place for you. The interiors are appealing but cheap, the rent is high, the floorplans are small. The office staff enjoys harassing residents by implementing rules to one apartment but not another. If you live in the front buildings good luck finding parking. If you live on the bottom floor enjoy listening to your neighbors upstairs, even when the tip toe. Enjoy using the ...charcoal grills. It's always nice to keep charcoal in a studio apartment with no patio. Don't get lured in by cheap deposits or no application fee. Actually, just don't get lured in at all.
