Could Be better
September 14, 2023I don't believe anything is perfect, always room for improvement. So hopefully Crest will see it that way. The apartment is really nice, it really is. But maybe provide residents with tips on how to maintain the stove and dishwasher. My stove is getting really dirty, I asked how to clean it and they gave me some tips but it would have been nice to have from the beginning. Courtesy trash pick up from apartment would be nice and longer pool hours are my only sticking points. Everything else is ...good.Property Manager Responded

Clean and Quiet
September 14, 2023The pricing is a bit expensive but we don't regret it. Marlen promised us good service and we have received great service. The move in process was quick and no matter who we called in the office they were able to help. No issues with noise (why we moved in the first place, lol) and people actually take trash to the dumpster (another reason we moved).Property Manager Responded

Its okay not the best
October 22, 2022Property area is decreasing in quality. When I moved in it was delightful, now its filling up with loud rowdy individuals. Walls are so thin so you can hear your neighbor do everything.. I mean EVERYTHING. Leasing office is not so great with responding to messages or emails. Parking is not reserved first comes first serves. No fun community events planned by the leasing office. May 9, 2018It certainly is not the worst place in the world to live but its definitely not what they are selling. I came in thinking I had some great deal on an apartment only to find that I am the one getting the bad end of the stick. They did the bare minimum of cleaning between the last tenant and I, I figured this out because there was still dirt and dust in all of the cupboards and the dryer WAS NOT EVEN HOOKED UP TO THE WALL. So apparently the last tenant just let the lint go everywhere behind the ...unit. I don't expect the place to be spotless before move in but just a simple glace they could have noticed that. There are bugs that inhabit the units. They only show up every once and a while but they definitely exist even though they constantly have people coming in to get rid of them. The balcony is all unfinished wood so watch out for splinters or rusty nails and as the other review says, there is no insulation so have fun with drafts and spending an arm and a leg on electricity. But like I said its not all bad, the size of the units are great for two people, the fireplace is a bonus your friends rarely have, its a quick drive to many good areas (even if it is near nothing). All in all for a few hundred dollars less this apartment would be appropriately priced for what it is and be great for it. But when they keep trying to charge you Silver Spring prices for being this far away from being Silver Spring and not nearly as nice, then you might as well live elsewhere and save the trouble.Property Manager Responded

December 13, 2017I am soo happy that I moved to The Point at Hampton Hollow. It feels like living in a vacation resort!!! The management in the leasing office is always very helpful, and kind. I even get my trash picked up at my front door. Wow I am soo thankful to be at this property. The maintenance is what truly makes this property great !!Review from Apartments.com
Do NOT live here
July 12, 2017Apartments are not energy efficient and the office management is not helpful either. Do not live here. The management team has will constantly posts notice on the doors, however they will NOT notify residents when their lease ends in 60 days. This is the first apartment I've ever lived at that did not want to give a "reminder" about their lease ending. I believe their goal is to make sure they get the most out of their residents and if they can't, they want to either make you overpay or "screw" ...you over by trying to affect your credit. Many times the office closed earlier and the assistant property manager has lied and has a very nasty attitude. The property manager is nice but extremely unhelpful. Extremely upset with the service here at Silver trails / Hampton Hollow Apartments
March 11, 2016I have lived in this particular complex going on three years. Prior to it being silver Trails it was Hampton Hollows Apartments. I'm down in the area 13537 and just took a walk around the complex and realize how trashy the areas there has been nobody here to clean this area and God knows how long. They have replaced my air conditioning filter / heating filter once in the past 3 years. It appears that they're more concerned with painting the outside and trying to get new clients to move in then ...they are with the current clients that they currently have. When I moved in approximately 3 years ago this complex was nice and clean and they appeared to keep it maintained on a regular basis. They don't seem too concerned with upgrading the apartments on the inside but they definitely raise the rent every year on a regular not only that my electric bill for a 1-bedroom 500 square feet apartment has ran as high as $400 a month because there's no insulation in the windows fireplace or sliding glass door. I am seriously contemplating when the lease is up moving because they don't seem to interested in keeping their current tenants I am extremely disappointed with how this complex has been run in the past two years and as far as Silver Lakes management they have recently taken it over when you call the office there is no way to get ahold of anybody it just keeps recycling same to call the same number back over and over again. If I were you I would highly consider finding another apartment complex until this one gets there priorities straight and it doesn't seem their priorities are focused on current residents at all all they are concerned about is getting the rent paid even before the due date.
