From the second I toured I was in love with the fully renovated units at The Crossing, the leasing staff was friendly and super helpful! They’ve been quick to respond to my many questions throughout the process and I’m so in love with my apartment, what really sold me were the stainless steel appliances and the in unit washer and dryer, simply can’t beat that!

Moving can be so stressful but the leasing staff at The Crossing at Auburn Hills made the whole process a breeze, they have been very helpful with answering my many questions and providing quick responses. Not to mention I love that the appliances are all stainless steel! The in unit washer and dryer is what really sold me!!
Easily the Worst Apartment Tour I’ve Ever Had

I came from out of town for this tour, and the leasing office knew that. This was my fourth tour of the day, and every other complex had an agent walk me through, answer questions, and at least try to make a good impression. Not here. Instead, they just handed me a key, gave me an address, and sent me on my way.
I was supposed to see two units. The first? The key didn’t work because the lock was broken. When I went back to ask about it, the leasing agent just turned to her coworker and said, ...
“Ugh, that unit’s lock is broken again.” No apology, no concern—just pure indifference.
The second unit was so bad I thought they had made a mistake. There was trash all over the floor, mold on the windows, a laundry machine sitting in the middle of the living room, tape covering the windows (apparently to keep bugs out), a terrible smell, and a bathroom mid-renovation. They had even slapped fresh paint on the walls, but it didn’t help. It was such a disaster that I went back to the office, assuming they had accidentally shown me the wrong place. Nope. The leasing agent just said, “Yep, that’s the unit.” No embarrassment, no explanation—just a shrug and a halfhearted, “Yeah, sorry, contractors are working on it.”
At this point, I should have just left, but I figured I’d at least try to get some answers. I told her I needed to move in by April 1st because my medical rotations start on April 7th. Instead of offering any useful information, she kept saying, “I don’t know what’s available when” and “I can’t guarantee that date.” As if I was asking for something unreasonable. Then, when I asked where the actual unit would be located, she told me I wouldn’t find out until after I signed the lease.
I’ve toured plenty of apartments, and I’ve never experienced anything this unprofessional. Between the uninterested staff, the disgusting unit they showed me, and the complete lack of organization, this was easily the worst tour I’ve ever had. If they treat potential residents this poorly, I can’t imagine how bad it is for the people who actually live here. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

When you go to look at a apartment they do not let in the office and when you have questions the leasing agent have you standing outside and rush you so they can get out of the cold. On top of everything they did not care about the lack of customer service and concentrated on keeping the application fee that was paid. Absolutely, terrible customer service. The day we went a resident was yelling at them through the door and the second day we went someone was smoking weed outside our supposed to be unit. DO NOT MOVE.

My girlfriend and I moved in on July 1st. Got our first DTE bill and it ended up being 201.02!
I lived in previous apartments and rental homes that had central air and window units. The most I ever paid for DTE was 125.00 up to this point. I just can’t fathom how it’s that much.
The prices for the apartments are about 200 dollars above what they should be. Yes, they are updated with new appliances and flooring but it is still PONTIAC, there are people in this complex that are sketchy as heck ...
and my neighbors car got broken into.

great. Covered parking for a reasonable monthly charge. The clubhouse with the 24/7 fitness center and outdoor pool was a huge addition too. The apartment was conveniently located. Easy access to I-75. Less than 5 minutes to Great Lakes Crossing outlet mall. 10 minutes to downtown Pontiac. 20 minutes to Somerset Mall and Birmingham. 35 minutes to downtown Detroit. 1 hour to Detroit airport. I would definitely recommend Crossing At Auburn Hills.
