I recently applied to move into the apartment. My application was successful, and was immediately charged the $199 admin fee that is due upon move-in. Due to a recent surgery, I inquired about a later availability. Everything thus far was done by phone/online. When I viewed the apartment in person, it did not live up to the pictures. cobwebs. Inside the unit, there was a large water stain on the ceiling and tape on the damaged balcony screen. I canceled the application. Despite paying the $50 application fee and never signing an actual lease, I was charged an additional $199 deposit, which is nonrefundable.
