    I needed an apartment in Lincoln on short notice and the leasing staff at the Donovan were super helpful showing me my options and working through the apartment application and lease process. Highly recommend looking for a place to live at The Donovan!

  • Newly renovated, great place

    I have lived here for more than 8 years and I love it! I moved from my previous apartment (which was already great if a little dated) into a newly remodeled one that is really nice. Friendly, professional and responsive staff and maintenance. The only detractor is the propensity to raise rents a lot and no leases beyond 12 months.

  • Love this place!

    I love these apartments because of the new and modern finishes. The pool and all the perks of being here are amazing. The staff here is so wonderful and helpful, Alecia has always been a grand part of my good experience here! The location of these apartments is so close to southpointe mall which is my favorite!

  • Horrible and expensive

    They have jacked up rent here horribly and repairs are awful. Renovations in the halls are an ugly yellow and grey and the place is always dirty. Pool was down the entire summer. As in months …for a “broken gate latch” then pump repair. Don’t count on consistent access to facilities or timely or quality repairs. Way overpriced for the quality and services. Completely screw over tenants at every chance.

  • Do NOT rent here! Not worth your money-everyone is currently moving out

    Cleaned this apartment head to toe when I moved in. It was gross. Moved out and got no deposit back because there were stains found “under a black light”. Are you kidding me? I even had the carpet professionally cleaned. Snow removal is poor. Numerous people including myself have fallen on ice. Doors slam-so look forward to hearing that all night. Everything is so outdated. They just painted the hallways green and yellow (puke). If you have a garage. You have to take your remote with you ...
    everywhere because you have no other choice. Management is awful. They don’t listen to your concerns or care about you.

  • Screwed Over

    Moved out when remodeling whole complex. The apartment I was in was very old, appliances old and stained, carpets very old. Apartment was filthy when I moved in. I just received my deposit refund letter and they charged me for carpet replacement even though I know they are gutting it and remodeling it! I get $30 out of a $200 deposit! Totally screwed over! Bad at snow removal and if you have to walk to a garage pray you don’t fall because they just don’t care. The garages were broken onto last ...
    year and they took the key locks off and all you have is the remote to open the door. If you accidentally leave the remote in the car you have to wait until they are there at 9 the next day to get it open so will miss some work. The doors slam and they are hollow so you hear absolutely everything in the hall. I do not recommend!

  • Horrible management

    Don't let the reviews fool you. Management and staff are horrible. They don't care about the residents. Don't expect them to be flexible if you come across any issues. The units are very overpriced. They threw on some paint and new carpet to the buildings (not each apartment unit) and jacked up the price by at least $200. Would never recommend.

    This apartment complex is fantastic! I have lived in 6 different rental properties around Lincoln, 5 of which were by different property managers and The Colony/IRET is by far the best one I have ever had to deal with. The office staff (Shelby, Vivian, and Kendra) are beyond friendly and easy to work with. I rarely had to submit maintenance requests, but when I did, they were dealt with quickly and I often got a personal follow up after it was completed. The community is safe and quiet and the ...
    other residents are so friendly and welcoming. The rent is arguably on the higher side, but it’s one of the cheapest in the area for what you’re getting and it’s worth every penny. My only regret is I couldn’t stay longer. It truly felt like home.

    I moved into The Colony Apartment Homes in 2016 and I have not regretted it since. The office staff (Kendra, Vivian, and Shelby) are warm and friendly and so very helpful. I struggled coming from a landlord who was difficult to work with but Vivian showed so much empathy and support and helped me transition in a non-stressful way.   • Great Apartments and Friendly Staff (ask for Vivian)

    Copy The staff are amazing, especially Vivian! They are always willing to help and go the extra mile. Vivian was great in walking me through different floor plans and costs and helping me find what suited me best. They know you by first name! Even my 3 year old knew 2/3 office staff names. :) All staff was always friendly and helpful! The other tenants in the two different buildings I lived in, especially 3741 building were great and very friendly. The apartments were always kept clean and ...
    tidy. Also very spacious. Well thought out floor plans and accented walls so it’s not all apartment white and feels more like home. Maintenance also responded timely every time I placed a request. Only down side is I had water leaking because of the roof (not maintenance’s fault) and it took their contractor forever to get in and fix the leak, so I had bubbled walls and browning spots. Complaints (which never deterred me or would in the future from renting): *sometimes there’s no parking, so catch a garage while it’s on special! *IRET (the big company, not The Colony staff) is unwilling to do better pricing with tenants when they re-sign leases which is really unfortunate for tenants wanting to continue renting (the price will go up when your lease is done, even when signing a new lease)
