    The actual apartment looks nothing like the photos so don't waste your time like I wasted mine. The colors are different and the paint job is horrific and no backsplash tile in kitchen.

    The units on Cottonwood are old and poorly constructed. There is no sound barrier between your units and your neighbors and you will hear everything. The outside of the building is covered in cigarette butts and dog poop and current management does a very poor job keeping the place clean. I'm so happy to be out of this dump. Save yourself money and stress and find somewhere else to live.

They took around 400 just for application.they consider several people for a building, accept one person and pocket 400 dollars from other people.and they didn't answer our phone enough to eat this money.

    This place is a mess. the halls smell gross, there’s roaches in the units. They don’t care to solve the issue, the images of the apartments look nothing to what they are in person. horrible paint job. They paint over everything and leave paint drops everywhere. tiles are terrible so many gaps. closet doors suck, they came damaged, sliding isnt smooth whats so ever. Don't waste your time here.

    I put in a work order for 3 non emergent issues and Anthony was here within 2 hours and took care of everything. He was very friendly. I love the apartment. Very well layed out except the bathroom is micro sized. The grounds are pretty. The staff in the office are great and very responsive to questions or requests.

    This place is a dump! Garbage everywhere and rats running around the property. The buildings are dirty and unkept. Please trust me with what I am saying here. If you like living in a slum, then live here. There are current problems with the pipes/sewage coming into the apartment. Also, no heat or water at times. DON'T DO IT!

    Do not sign a lease here, you will regret it. The entire building is absolutely disgusting and falling apart. Everything smells like cigarettes and rotten food in the hallways. From far away their “newest renovation” might seem worth it but it’s not. Every inch of this apartment is just a lane lord special, nothing worked when we moved in. That includes all of the appliances, no shower, the closet doors fall off of their hinges, none of the outlets worked, our stove kept blowing the fuse box ...
    which is apparently is from the 1960’s, our fridge also kept turning off, our entire apartment reeks of cigarettes and the paint itself is just flaking off of the walls and closet rods. We’ve been here for a few weeks and it has been the worst experience of my life. The residents will honk their horns at all hours of the night and rev their engines at the crack of dawn so don’t even bother trying to get a quiet nights sleep. There is also a huge rat problem here, they’re the size of footballs because trash litters the complex and every inch of this place is so disgusting it’s unbelievable. The leasing office will do nothing about any issues you may have, we still haven’t been contacted after they told us they would “talk to their supervisor’s to rectify the problem” What a joke! You can find an apartment somewhere else for the same price which are so much better than what this complex has to offer.

    They treat the people living their very poorly. Maintenance takes forever to fix something even if it’s urgent. We had no heat all winter except for the one week they fixed it until it broke again. When we emailed them again about it not working then they never responded.

    This place is Awful. My 89 year old mother rented a garden apartment from them. A month before her lease was up, it flooded. It took the maintenance guy over a day to come out. My husband and I went over to help mop up some of the water, so my mother wouldn't slip and fall. All the maintenance guy did, was put a big fan under the rug and left it there. We moved my mother to a hotel until we found her another place to live. We had to throw out her couch and bed, due to mildew. My mother went ...

  • Think twice!

    I moved into The Element a week before the pandemic started (March 2020), so there weren’t any amenities available. But I am more than positive residents were still being charged. For the whole month of November I dealt with mice coming into my third floor apartment through the radiator in the living room and bedroom. Every week I would call and complain and I would fill out work orders to have maintenance come and “fix” the issue. The woman who worked there Lindsay, would give me the dumbest ...
    excuses as to why there were mice. I wanted the issue fixed, not excuses. Mice have apparently always been an issue but it’s never fixed. It’s just a band aid until it no longer works. Maintenance has been aware of this issue for years because their fix is only temporary. But I don’t blame maintenance. It’s management and everyone above them. They will gladly collect your rent each month but not fix the major issues. Not only do you deal with mice, you have the pleasure of dealing with roaches since there are tenants whose apartments are filthy. Pest control does come around but the roaches come back. So essentially you’re paying for nothing. The walls are thin. You can hear everything going on in the apartments next to you, above AND below you. Let’s not forget you have to pay for laundry, meanwhile the machines are filthy. Nobody comes to clean them. There are also roaches in the laundry room that is in the basement. During the months which there is a lot of rain, the basement floods and as usual there is no rush to replace the damaged floors. And when you have visitors come and you need a pass, it’s $5 a day or $25 for the week. They also charge you to park in a handicap spot. They like to profit off of as much as possible. So would I recommend anyone live there? Absolutely not. Take my review as a warning if you do chose to live there.

    I stopped by looking for a unit to provide a potential employee. I was greeted by promptly greeted by Angela. After telling her what I was looking for she enthusiastically showed me a couple of the models then took me to view available units. While going through the different units she explained in detail all of the inclusions and exclusions with the rental agreement. I was extremely impressed with her understanding and knowledge as well as her ability to satisfy my questions and needs. ...
    Unfortunately the perspective employee did not come to work for us, but going forward I will definitely recommend both Angela and the property if I run across anyone looking for an apartment in the area.

  • Slum

    April 22, 2018
    Very dishonest leasing company. Maintenance of the property is a joke. Appliances never work properly. I've had to fix the community washer and dryer as they weren't serviced for over 2 months at one point. They let one of my neighbors park her school bus in the parking lot and my vehicles have been damaged several times. Plus my rent went up 300 bucks in one year. Time to leave!
