Beautiful Homes & Caring Management
November 14, 2023I moved to the Flats in 2019, left and rented a home then came back in 2023! These homes offer high end finishing touches, the accent walls are beautiful and the space you get for your monthly cost is truly incredible. If I have a service request, it is taken care of promptly and Billie the Property Manager cares about every detail here. The staff is second to none and I love living here! They even have treats for your dog when you check your mail. :)Property Manager Responded

Disappointed
October 13, 2020Just so the reader knows, I have never given a bad review for anything before in my life. We moved here about two months ago and have enjoyed our stay until recently running into two big problems. 1. We set up automatic payments for rent yet we incurred late fees for not paying. Turns out we paid slightly too early, which resulted in the payment being rejected and never going through. So essentially we were punished for paying early. On top of that, we were actually charged two late fees. One ...for 25$ and a second for 50$. Normally you are given some notice that the payment is late, but we only received such notice after the second fee. I suppose I could have checked the account, but that would negate the point of having automatic payments. 2. Maintenance seemingly randomly comes and goes throughout the day. Never clear what they are working on as they will hammer outside the window/door for a few minutes before moving on. Either way it is very loud and has woken up my toddler from several naps. I had kindly emailed the office asking if I could just be told the time they would work so that I can plan my day around it, yet I received no response. Overall, I think the apartments themselves are great, but the management not so much.Property Manager Responded
October 26, 2020Dear Anonymous, I have reviewed your account and the late fees you were assessed due to the timing of the auto-payment set up were reversed from your account. I called you a left a message regarding your maintenance concerns and I would like to discuss this with you. Flats on Houk is a brand new property and most likely the noise may be from some last minute touch ups the construction crew is working on. Unfortunately, it may be difficult to know what times of the day the construction crews might be onsite. However, I will discuss with the manager and she can contact construction and see if there is anything left to complete on the building you live in. You may call me directly at 614-923-4077.
