The later tenants and some of the cars were able to get a private garage, but I couldn't get one. I am willing to pay $170 a month for a garage, yet it seems as though I am begging them to take my money. I am still forced to park in Eddy Street Commons, which is a five-minute walk from my southernmost apartment. It's frustrating to see new cars being granted garages while I am left in the dark. They claim that the garages are full, but clearly that's not the case. Let's not forget that when I first moved in last year, they were unable to provide me with parking, and I was forced to park on campus or pay for parking during the first few weeks. What kind of management is this? How is it fair that tenants are not treated equally? It's not just about the private garage; my friend was able to get a surface lot parking permit the same day, but I was told to wait for an email to pick it up, and then no one followed up with me. This is evidence of disparate treatment.
Recently, I attempted to inquire with the leasing office regarding the guarantee of a garage after renewing my lease, but I have yet to receive any response. They only replied to half of the content in my email and ignored the rest. Many cars are parked in the fire lane every night, and no one seems to care. I have lived in many apartments in the United States and the United Kingdom, and I have never seen such poor management and treatment of tenants!
