Fountains at Deerwood
May 30, 2019I lived at the Fountains for 2 and a half years. It was truly a great experience. The units are a little dated, however you can’t beat it for the price and location. Overall very quiet in the development. I always felt safe and the management/staff were always very welcoming. Anytime I had any issues they were fixed, usually same day within hours. I never had any issues with bugs/pests. The pool and commons areas were usually pretty quiet and enjoyable. I would recommend this complex for anyone ...just starting out in Jacksonville! Great place to live!
February 20, 2018I've been a resident for over seven years and remain a happy resident. Excellent location, spacious and quiet townhouse with parking at front door. Reported linoleum needed to be replaced in bathroom and was replaced the next day. Very friendly office and repair staff. Rent goes up every year but that is common in this area. I feel more social events would be nice like a potluck or pool BBQ. As I write this review I smell fresh cut grass. Overall a great value for my hard earned money. Worst place to live
August 14, 2017Its not worth the price. I have been living here for 1 year and my lease ends in another month. I am waiting for that day to get out of this place. This is very old community with so many problems, Do not believe in "Simply-Modern thing" its all false. They remodel the apartment simply because its too old and no one would rent it, also its a way to increase the rental price of apartment. I have faced so many problems in my 1 year of stay. Initially when I was about to sign the lease I asked ...them if there were any bugs or roaches. When I moved I faced a lot of problems with roaches and when I complain they say they will do a treatment which is of no use. I spent 100's of dollars to buy raids and other stuff. This is one of my worst experience was, I stay in first floor. The toilet in the second floor leaked into my bathroom and it was all over my bathroom mats and rugs, I had to replace them at my own cost and was not able to use my toilet/bathroom for about 1 week to 10 days due to the bad smell. When I approached the manager she doesn't care. Every once in a while there is a problem with AC water leakage in the apartment and the water used to leak into the bedroom carpet and they fixed the water leakage issue after a day and the carpet is fully wet and after a day it started smelling badly. When I asked them to clean the carpet they don't care and say the carpet should dry it by itself and nothing can be done. There is a whole big list of issues. Overall amazing place to live!
June 4, 2016If you're looking for a great place to live on the southside I would highly recommend you choose here! My great experience started while trying to move from Ohio, this community had everything I was looking for...a modern, updated town home apartment with great square footage at a reasonable rent! I was unable to view the unit while across the country but Alli and Nanalee were so extremely accommodating and helpful that they went and took photos of the actual unit and emailed them to me! I was ...very impressed! After leasing the unit I came to Florida (they had it ready a few days early for me as I was going to be in town for a week on a job search and wanted to purchase furniture, another thing I'm thankful for!) and was very happy to see that the community was as great as it is in pictures! There are two pools but even better is that the main pool has a gas grill and fire pit that I have used many times with friends. I find added bonuses almost weekly here, new cabanas by the pools, more benches, another grill by the second pool..they care about the residents. The grounds are always well kept with beautiful flowers and trees and well watered lawn. If your a dog owner we have a nice fenced in area to let them run and plenty of "dog poo pick up stations" around the property stocked with bags. Property Management keeps me updated with maintenance and fun events..so far they have had food trucks come and that was a fun way to meet other people. I have had maintenance come once before and Robert always has the work done super quick and I feel extremely comfortable with him in my home! Overall, with living in numerous apartments before I have never felt like management actually cared so much and were friends.
