Nice-looking building, but very poor quality

The property looks good from the outside, but the actual living experience has revealed numerous infrastructure, cleanliness, and quality issues.
The trash areas are frequently overflowing and attract flies and other insects. I have also experienced an unusually severe fruit-fly/insect problem inside my apartment, despite not keeping fruit or cooking at home. building. I suspect trash being left or thrown from balconies may be contributing to the problem, but regardless of the cause, the level of infestation is unacceptable.
What has been most frustrating, however, is management. Getting issues addressed has often required repeated follow-ups, and communication has been difficult. Instead of feeling like concerns are being actively resolved, the process can feel like residents have to continually chase management for answers.
I heard several neighbors having excessive water leak issues so I am about to check mine cause the water bill feels high.
Overall, the building has a nice appearance, but the quality and day-to-day maintenance do not live up to it. A modern exterior means very little when residents are dealing with overflowing trash, persistent insects, cleanliness concerns, and difficult management. I would strongly recommend prospective renters look beyond the building’s appearance and inspect the trash areas, hallways, and common spaces before signing a lease.
