August 28, 2023I lived here for a year. Every maintenance request I made I had to put in twice because the maintenance crew would never fix anything properly the first time. When I went to move out and they did the inspection the inspector hadn't even made it inside my door and accused my apartment of smelling like cat pee and refused to give me my deposit back because they would have to rip up all of the carpets in the entire apartment. March 30, 2021I have had a tremendous experience with this apartment complex, from how peaceful my living conditions were to the quick and respectful response from the maintenance crew. All employees there were terrific, I have not had a single issue while living there. I felt totally safe there even at night. I’ve had no issues with my neighbors. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE GOOD REVIEWS!!!
March 25, 2021The office is super quiet about your rent, until you owe sometimes HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS! Someone I know wanted a lot facing apartment, and the office said there was one available, so they moved from their previous apartment thinking they had what they paid a deposit for and when it was to late the office said they had already rented it. The office is making them pay for the golf course view apartment even though it was THEIR mistake. They also refused to replace the water heater TWICE during the ...pandemic until the person I knew was unable to take hot showers for a month! and had to go a week without being able to wash clothes! This has nothing to do with the maintenance crew, they have been nothing but attentive and nice to them as of this review. If anything the management is making them cut corners and "fix" things. As people in the surrounding apartments fire alarms go off at all hours of the night and day. I am highly disappointed in the management of this complex. Some people also seem to have no issues with noise but their apartment is surrounded with loud, rude people who don't care about the quiet hours....if they even exist here. November 5, 2017We had a terrible experience with this apartment complex! The parking is always full and you have to walk a long way to your apartment. In addition the lighting is very poor at night so as a woman I was nervous about walking in the pitch dark at night. Also when we moved out they kept taking rent so we had to make many calls and emails until finally a month later we got part of the money back. Below Market Price with Best Living Space Around
July 26, 2015I rent a 2Bed/2Bath at the Greens Apartments in Shawnee. Pros: First, the price is very competitive for the area. The location is great, with all you need a 1/2 mile away. They have one of the biggest and most practical living room layouts of any apartments in the Shawnee/Lenexa area. Bedrooms are average size, perfect for queen-sized bed. 2nd floor apts have nice vaulted ceilings. Washer/Dryer are included for free. There is a good amount of storage space with two extra closets, not counting ...the kitchen pantry or laundry closet. The management is very friendly, and they respond to maintenence requests very quickly. They offer TimeWarnerCable and Google Fiber. They also have covered parking. Lastly, it's on a great golf course with a good discount for residents. Cons: The tennis/basketball courts are in very poor condition with crooked goals and bad cracks in cement. The lighting is ok, but lamps make it great. The electricity bill is not as low as what they pitch, but it's better than some others. The thermostat is an older, less efficient analog model. Nothing like the show apartment
July 31, 2015I was disappointed to find that my apartment looked nothing like the show apartment. There were red spots all over the tile in the bathroom, the spout on my bathroom sink was discolored and unfixable. There are cracks all around the doors and window and a black residue located around the window sill as well as on top of the shower. I assume it's similar to a black mold, but I can't be sure. I can hear my neighbor sneeze and the resident above me sounds like a herd of elephants. The security ...gates don't work. Correction, the security gate to let you out of the complex is locked until you drive up to it. The security gate to let you in to the complex sits wide open.
