Worst ever!!!!!
September 19, 2022We are an active-duty Air Force family that received orders to the Biloxi area. Like many other military families moving from to a new area from another state, we must trust online searches while looking for a new place to live. Unable to buy at this time, we looked for an apartment. Search results led us to The Grove. Online this place looked like an ideal place to live. Please don’t be fooled like we were. We tried to visit in person but were told that there were no available apartments to tour ...before move in. Move in day arrives. We were shocked when we walked in. The place had not been cleaned. Food was in the carpet, dirt stains in the tubs, and toothpaste in the sinks. This was just the start. Looking closer, black mold was growing in multiple places through out the apartment. Rat holes in many places. The floor in the bathroom was peeling up showing obvious water damage along with layers of past flooring. I was told when keys were picked up that one of the toilets didn’t flush and would be fixed. During the month we were there, no one ever came to fix the toilet. Smoke detectors were either missing or disconnected, never fixed even after being told that they would be. We notified the office that we were giving our 30 days’ notice to move out due to the unsafe living conditions. The manager seemed nice and wanted to come by with maintenance to attempt to make things right. They stopped by the same day. The maintenance guys were laughing, making jokes and snarky comments the entire time I was voicing my concerns to the manager. Nothing was done to repair any of the problems in the apartment. This was the absolute worst place I have ever lived. Management does not care. Maintenance is a joke! Their website is 100% false advertisement. The pictures show updated beautiful apartments. This couldn’t be further from the truth. They advertise a clean pool with a hot tub. The pool is not kept clean, and the hot tub is concreted over. Fleas!!
May 21, 2021I moved into this property in March 2021 and even though it was older, I really liked the location and layout of the units. Within the first day of moving in, I found fleas on the floor in my first floor unit, I did not have any pets. After alerting the property manager, it was sprayed. I did not stay in the unit and when I came back and continued vacuuming, I was still vacuuming up live fleas. I alerted the manager again and it was sprayed again, much heavier. After I returned to the unit ...again, I was still vacuuming up live fleas. At this time I told the property manager that I would be terminating my lease. I was less than 30 days into the lease, stayed overnight less than 5 nights and gave 30 days notice. I love it here!
June 22, 2019I see all these negative reviews and I just think I haven’t had any problems. The people in the office are always nice. I know all my neighbors and don’t have any problems. My apartment is really nice and afford for the area. I spend hours in my garden tub. The police that are security officers help keep us safe . This actually one of only an apartment that I lived in that I felt safe and it was safe enough for my kids to play out side. They have RATS!
May 14, 2018Since I moved in I have had many problems with roaches, bugs and some bugs that I couldn't even identify. You will have NOTHING but a headache if you rent here. I signed a lease to stay for 1 year and only stayed 6 months. I went out of town for a week and came back to an entire RAT FAMILY! My belongings were covered in rat droppings and my sofa was destroyed by them eating under the cushion and through the bottom of both couches. I complained to management and they told me that I would have to ...wait until Monday because I told them too late in the afternoon (I told them on a Friday afternoon). On Monday, pest control came by and they laid a few sticky traps. The droppings were in my room, on the kitchen counter tops and in the closets. The sticky traps did not work and I told the office. They said they would send pest control back out. Pest control laid some traps that did not work as well. I am a clean person. I did not leave any food or trash out and my dishes were washed. This was not my fault and when I broke my lease because I couldn't live with the mice they still charged me to end the lease plus I continued to pay rent hoping they would do something about the mice and I could go back home. The management was horrible and only compensated me a few hundred dollars for my sofa that was applied to the feeds they charged me so no money really went for me to be compensated. Termite infestation
May 5, 2018I was not told about the termite infestation when I moved in! They come out in the summer I’m assuming. I moved in mid summer of last year(2017) and didn’t have an issue. The neighbor across the way warned my husband and I about this(they moved)! This is horrible. I’m sitting on my couch and and termite falls on my chest.. like something out of a movie. Do not move here!!!!
July 10, 2017Where do I even start....Lived here for 5 years. When I moved in it was great and very clean. In the last year or two its been disgusting. Duck/dog poop everywhere to the point its caked in the breezeway. They refuse to clean. Pool is filled with unsupervised kids that don't live here. "Hot tub" never has worked. Office never answers phone calls. I had a hole in my ceiling for close to six months so when it rained outside it also rained in my house. Been robbed twice... three times if you ...include my mail that was stolen last week. Once was in broad daylight. Don't try and call corporate cause they don't care. Ive noticed they only bring potential tenants to the one clean building so watch out for that. Also, Im looking at cigarette butts for grass.Property Manager Responded

I nice place to live
September 24, 2015I have lived at Bentley Place for nearly a year and a half. My family and I first moved into a two bed two bath, and we were on the 3rd floor. We were able to move into this unit on quick notice so that was great. My buddy then moved in with us and we were able to move to a three bedroom fairly easily. The management was great and then they got bought out.. Some of the new people aren't the greatest but I still love Danielle! She is now the main lady here! Only complaint would be the maintenance ...people.. they always seem disgruntled and in a bad mood. I would definitely recommend a friend here.
