Old apartments and management doesn't care
September 13, 2025The photos of this place look nice but it is a lie. Looking closer the apartments are trashy and old with a few fancy bits to make it look better. Overall the number of issues I have had make it one of the worst apartment experiences I have ever had. Had a 1st floor apartment Some of the major issues: -> Apartment leaked every time it rained and I ended up with an inch of water on the floor. - 6 months and it still hasn't been fixed -> Had a termite infestation -> Walls have cracks in them due ...to the building shifting -> Drain started backing upProperty Manager Responded

Not luxury
February 28, 2023It’s obvious that whoever does maintenance and paint work is an amateur. Patchwork in the walls bleeds through, vents and plug covers painted over, dirty appliances when moved in. Parking lot floods, and maintenance requests take forever. RUB utility is a ripoff and a joke.Review from Apartments.com
If I could rate less than 1 star I would…
June 22, 2022Do not move into the Harper apartments. My boyfriend and I have been residents for 7 months and we can tell you, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! These apartments are cheap and everything in them break very easy. It might look luxury but it’s just cheap “trendy”. Our AC has been out for 2 months and it is still isn’t fixed after 6 maintenance request, calls to the office and personal trips to the office to try and talk to someone. Every email I have ever sent to the office has also never been ...answered. Lastly, we had a hole leaking from our ceiling that was clearly coming from the roof, what did maintenance do? Patch the hole to our ceiling and not fix the leak so it just kept breaking through. I have also heard several residents complain about mold and I would believe it because the vents in our apartment are disgusting and look like they have mold! Lost my cat
September 27, 2021This is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in! Maintenance entered my unit without notice for a minor repair and lost my pet. They refused to help me and have done nothing until being blasted on nextdoor. SO MANY MAINTENANCE ISSUES! The place is falling apart and they call it “luxury living”. Terrible!
July 28, 2021The air does not work properly.. they must not have insulated it because towards the middle of the day my apartment reaches 73-74 degrees and I have it set on 68. My dog gets sick from the heat and I literally sweat just sitting on my couch. The floors are coming up and when I vacuum, the flooring will literally stick to my vacuum because they didn’t properly secure it to the concrete below. Everything was just painted over, the framing around the doors is horrible and is uneven. The doors aren’t ...even even on the hinges. Overall, I would not recommend. Go somewhere else!
June 11, 2021When we first moved here, a friend of mine told me that Brookside Properties (the company that owns The Harper) is known for putting "lipstick on a pig." That's exactly what this place is. When they "renovated" this place, they didn't actually fix anything. They just made it more aesthetically pleasing. This is a run-down property with management who couldn't care less about their residents. Plus, the rent amount changes every month and always somehow ends up being higher than what they initially ...told us it would be. I could write a whole essay, but I will leave it at this for now. November 11, 2020I just moved in last weekend but let me tell you.... the new management here is wonderful. Excellent communication and the maintenance men are incredible. They gutted & renovated the complex from top to bottom and although there are still a few flaws here and there, if you call in any issues they’ll take care of it. I don’t mean to be that pesky tenant that calls about every minor thing but I’ve come upon some issues since moving in and they hopped on it either the same or next day. Disaster
June 29, 2020Absolute disaster. If you choose to live here you better hope it doesn’t rain. My windows have been leaking since I’ve moved in and nothing has been done about it. They say they are working on it or they’ve fixed it but yet here i am with a living room floor covered in water and a couch that is destroyed with water damage. Unbelievable. I do not recommend.
