Smelly and Dirty
July 30, 2025Elevators break and aren’t fixed for an extended period of time, trash rooms are NEVER cleaned and makes the whole building smell like sewage. New owners do not seem to care, building is going down hill.Review from Apartments.com
All around awful
June 21, 2025at least 3/4 cars got broken into during the day yesterday. we know at least 2 cars that’s have been stolen off of the property. there’s been a murder. packages constantly getting stole from people. you really probably don’t wanna live here.Review from Apartments.com

DO NOT RENT HERE
February 9, 2025My time at the Huntley has been overall horrendous and I am currently trying to break my lease due to the horrible experience. When a murder occurred in the building, and the murderer was being aided and abetted in the building, management was not very forthcoming with information about how the situation was being handled or whether the killer was arrested, and did not install a courtesy officer until 4-5 months after the incident occurred. The hallways are disgusting, they are never cleaned. ...People leave their trash out all week and let their dogs pee/poop in the halls without cleaning it up. While management does send out emails to remind them, nothing is ever enforced. The gym has some broken equipment as the benches are missing padding, which makes them less sturdy. People let their children be in the gym to use the equipment with no supervision, which is highly unsafe. The fire alarm has falsely gone off about 10 separate times since I have moved in, and not once has the fire alarm gone off for an actual fire. People do not evacuate when the alarms go off because every single time it is false. I’m scared to think of what would happen in an actual emergency! Residents also tend to leave exits to the outside of the building propped open, allowing whoever to walk inside. They even did that the day after the murder occurred. I have been yelled at by other residents for closing doors that had been propped open as I am concerned about my safety. Do not live at the Huntley if you want a safe, secure apartment with kind residents!Property Manager Responded

Regarding the unfortunate incident you mentioned, we fully cooperated with law enforcement and did not, in any way, aid or abet any criminal activity. Additionally, we have since implemented enhanced security measures, including the installation of a courtesy officer, to further ensure resident safety. We are also actively working to maintain cleanliness in common areas, enforce community guidelines regarding trash and pet waste, and address concerns with gym equipment. Fire safety is a priority for us, and we continue to work with our alarm system providers to minimize false alarms while ensuring proper emergency response procedures are in place. Resident safety and satisfaction remain our top priorities, and we are committed to making The Huntley a comfortable place to live.
