Terrible experience & considering moving out

I’ve lived at this complex for four years, and over that time I’ve seen many staff members come and go. Generally, my experiences here have been decent until recently. The other day, I had an interaction that was so disappointing, it has made me seriously consider moving out. Initially, I called and left a voicemail, which was never returned. Frustrated, I decided to go directly to the office to speak with someone. I quickly realized why I have not received a call back. I waited about 20 minutes ...

before being helped by a young woman at the front desk. She was kind and apologized for my wait and that she would be right with me. 3 other people were waiting who are also upset. One man said “screw this” and left. I thought she was the only staff member present until I saw a woman emerge from the back office. To my dismay, I learned she is the new apartment manager. What followed was truly disappointing. I briefly started explaining my issue, only to be cut off and told in a long winded statement, “that’s just how it is.” There was absolutely no attempt at human interaction or understanding. I don’t expect to be treated like a friend, but basic courtesy and professionalism are a minimum. Instead, I was met with coldness and dismissiveness. This experience was so poor that I decided to leave without further discussion. My lease is ending soon, and if this is the attitude and professionalism of the management team, I honestly don’t see a reason to stay. There are plenty of newer complexes with staff who treat tenants with respect. I’ve dealt with minor issues here before, and while I don’t expect perfection, I’ve always found the staff to be pleasant and helpful—until now. If this is the new management’s attitude, I can confidently say many tenants will choose to leave. Overall, this experience has left a sour taste, and I hope the management takes note. I debated writing this at the risk of retaliation so I am deciding to stay anonymous. However, treating tenants with basic respect isn’t too much to ask. I would also like to think basic people skills should be a requirement of this job but apparently not. I will add after seeing these reviews (admittedly I hadn’t seen these before coming to leave this one).. it seems this management company turns a blind eye to how tenants are treated.

The amenities are extremely important to us, we are gym rats and the equipment is some of the best and well maintained. Based on my research it is a really great neighborhood and growing .shopping, schools ,restaurants and hospital all at my fingertips Access to all of the grand strand has us in the perfect location for getting every where ...

I will give you the truth and tell it well...I"ve been here since May of 2020 and I just renewed my lease for a third year here. The apartments and amenities are spectacular! (Going to crap? really? The pool was terrific last week and sunning on the deck was amazing as usual)..the layout of the complex is breathtaking as it resides on a pond with plenty of acreage for walking, running and other outdoor activities. It is expertly landscaped with just the right amount of greenery, blossoming shrubs ...

and palm trees. OK...yes there have been changes here...but they began in 2021, long before the new management team arrived here in January of 2022. From what I have witnessed, the problems mentioned in some of the other reviews on this page have festered here for quite some time. What I see is that the new management team has addressed these and all other concerns. The new maintenance team are great guys and always there to help me with any problem with my unit( as it has always been,,,never a problem) I have made great friends here! The community atmosphere abounds and it is great to call The Lewis Grande my home!

The place was Mosby Carolina Forest and management was so helpful. Not happy at all with new management by Lewis or whatever it’s now. Can’t wait to end my lease and move out.

Not good anymore !

I live here now. After December of 2021, The new rental company came in and this place is horrible now. The amenities have gone to crap. Packages get lost, so everything we order now we have sent to my work. They will not help and tell you to call the post office, previous ownership went out of their way to help with any inconvenience with the Luxer system. It’s one thing after another here now and it’s already getting old. I went to wash my dog and the hose is broken and shooting out the ...

sides, isn’t there a maintenance team on site ?!?! This should be a very easy fix. Go to the store and buy a new hose. Now they ask everyone to pick up after their dogs which is the way it’s supposed to be but the bags sat empty for a couple days, luckily we have bags upstairs. Most importantly, don’t ask for help with anything. It’s a problem and it’s not them physically saying that, it’s their body language. I loved it before when it was Mosby, now we can’t wait for our lease to end to get out. We pay a lot of money to live here and it’s definitely no longer worth it.
