Living at The Local on 14th apartments has been an extremely frustrating and unsafe experience due to ongoing security and maintenance failures that management has failed to address. Two of my vehicles have been broken into while parked in the garage, which is especially concerning given that the parking deck gate is frequently broken and left unsecured. feel almost inevitable rather than surprising. Despite these repeated incidents, there has been no meaningful response or solution from management to improve safety.
In addition to the vehicle break-ins, multiple packages of mine have been stolen from the mail room, further highlighting the lack of basic security measures. To make matters worse, the malfunctioning parking deck gate has actually damaged my car while I was driving through it, turning a known maintenance issue into a direct financial loss for me. I have reported these problems to management multiple times and requested repairs, but those requests have been ignored or left unresolved. The combination of poor security, broken infrastructure, and unresponsive management makes The Local on 14th a bad place to live and not worth the high cost of rent they charge.
