The Lodges At Lake Salish
August 9, 2015These apts seem very nice outside but inside they are low quality, small and very over priced. Not only are the walls thin so you hear everything your neighbor says. Water, sewer and garbage are not included in rent. I would not live there again.Review from Apartments.com
These Apartments are on a lake!
August 1, 2015THE LODGES AT LAKE SALISH IN FAIRVIEW, OR ARE BEAUTIFULL! THEY ARE BUILT SURROUNDING A MAN-MADE LAKE COMPLETE WITH DUCKS, FISH AND BIRDS! I have enjoyed the pool and spa and also the Lodge common area and fully equiped gym. The grounds are kept immaculate by the maintenence crew. The bedrooms have large walk-in closets and the kitchen has more cabinets than I can fill. The living room is cozy with an electric fireplace. Nice setting but area could be better
August 11, 2015Office Staff: The office management is very helpful and prompt to resolve issues. One issue, they seem to experience lots of turnover. While the manager stay around, her assistants do not. This can cause issues with miscommunication and misinformation to/from residents. I am the type that can overlook these occasional missteps but if can lead to bigger issues for tenants if not kept in check. Apartment Setting: The wildlife preserve/refuge is an added bonus as well as the hiking trails nearby. ...The lake is open for fishing and stocked with trout. Occasionally the PDX airport traffic is diverted overhead, but the apartment walls do a good job at stopping the noise from entering the units. Apartments overall: I have only been inside my unit and one other, but they are all well laid out and clean. My only suggestion when renting is to get one facing the lake as it will reduce road noise. In the summer the upper apartments can get quite warm and opening a window at night without the road noise is a bonus. Located near the entrance to the gorge the weather is hot, rainy, or frozen. Keep this in mind as well because the maintenance staff can be slow to respond to requests such as deicing steps, walkways, and parking spots. Parking: Each unit comes with one covered space big enough to fit a standard car. If driving an SUV or larger truck the best i can say is think skinny!!! Otherwise, parking is a premium here. Most residents seem to have 2 cars and will park for weeks at a time in unassigned spots. Or they will occupy unoccupied spots to save them for friends only to move to their assigned space once they arrive. This is done out of fear, because the larger lot is prone to car break ins (more on this below). Otherwise you can purchase/rent a garage (after a long wait on the waiting list), for storage (or to park a compact car in). Community: After living here for 6 years I have slowly watched the community go downhill. As hinted on earlier, car break ins seem to be happening on a weekly basis. Cops now regularly patrol the parking lot (this is in addition to the hired security patrol) and, the problems of gresham are now at your doorsteps. The fairview city council is also so fed up with one another, all but 2 of their board members have stepped down citing loss in the faith and direction of local leadership.
