Inconsistent Communication and Nearly $500 Lost During the Application Process
May 26, 2026 - Review from Apartments.comI rarely leave negative reviews, but I genuinely feel future applicants should be aware of my experience with The MID Apartment Residences before paying nearly $500 in upfront fees. I paid approximately $485 between the application fee, administrative fee, and processing fee, only to experience one of the most inconsistent and frustrating leasing processes I have dealt with. First, I was told I was approved and could move forward without needing a physical Social Security card. Then, a few days ...later, I was informed that the physical card was required for move-in. After questioning why such a sensitive document was necessary, asking whether there was a secure portal to upload it, and requesting a direct phone number to discuss the matter, I received little to no clarification. I also attempted calling the phone number listed online and on their website multiple times and was unable to get anyone on the phone. As a full-time teacher and coach, it was extremely difficult for me to simply leave work and drive in person every time communication broke down, which unfortunately happened several times throughout this process. What made the situation even more concerning was that nowhere in the leasing portal or application process was it clearly stated that a physical Social Security card would be required. Then, after days of confusion and inconsistent answers, I was finally told that the Social Security card actually was NOT needed after all because I was “final approved.” At that point, the entire experience had already made me uncomfortable moving forward. When I requested a refund due to the inconsistent communication and changing requirements, I was informed that the nearly $500 paid would not be refunded. The apartments themselves may be beautiful, but communication, transparency, professionalism, and proper handling of sensitive personal information matter just as much. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling unsupported, frustrated, and uncomfortable enough to walk away from the process entirely — while losing almost $500 in the process.Read MoreProperty Manager Responded

October 24, 2022 - Review from Apartments.comI applied here 2 months before I needed to move. I paid 2 application fees for $35.00 & $150.00. Trey at the office said I was approved & just needed to pay the add'l $350.00. I paid for it but never heard back from Trey until the day before I was supposed to move in to say I was approved. I could not wait that long as I needed to live somewhere. I asked Trey to refund the $350 at least & all he said was it was non-refundable....Property Manager Responded

Parking Frenzy
April 10, 2021 - Review from Apartments.comWe haven't been here long so im not sure if this is the norm! But you have people who don't live in the community that get better parking than the residents. The gates are open 24/7 and its a free for all especially at night and on the weekends. I've never in my life lived in a community without some sort of designated parking for residents and visitors. At THE MID depending on how many of your neighbors invite friends over you may never find a parking space. 1st impression hasn't been great to ...this point.Read MoreProperty Manager Responded

March 31, 2021 - Review from Apartments.comMost apartments only allow smaller breeds of dogs on the property that don't present much of a threat to others. Here there's a guy in our building with 2 extremely large scary pitbulls which we had no clue about prior to moving in. 2ndly i see other neighbors walking pitbulls and other large dogs like Rottweilers that aren't allowed in the majority of Luxury apartment communities. Its nice as long as you stay inside your apartment. The neighbors are loud and not very friendly.Property Manager Responded
