My experience with The Mark was extremely frustrating, particularly during the move-out process. What should have been straightforward turned into a series of administrative errors and poor communication.
My notice to vacate was lost by the office—not once, but twice. Thankfully, I kept my own documentation, because otherwise I could have potentially been held responsible for an additional month of rent due to their mistake.

cleaned after being told I would not be charged for cleaning if I did so. I was still charged for cleaning, along with additional move-out charges. I disputed the charge and spent weeks making calls, sending emails, and trying to get someone to follow up with me. I was repeatedly told someone would contact me, and often no one did.
Eventually, I was told the disputed cleaning charge would be removed, and I paid the remaining balance by the due date. Despite doing exactly what I was instructed to do, my account was still sent to collections.
When I contacted management about this, I was essentially told not to worry about it—as though having an account incorrectly sent to collections were a minor inconvenience.
The most disappointing part was that I made every effort to handle my move-out responsibly. I kept records, communicated with management, disputed charges appropriately, and paid what I was told I owed. Yet I still had to spend an unreasonable amount of time trying to correct problems that I did not create.
I would strongly recommend that anyone living at The Mark keep copies of **everything**—notices, emails, receipts, invoices, payment confirmations, and any communication regarding your move-out. My own documentation ended up being extremely important.
The apartment itself was not the reason for this review. It was the lack of organization, communication, follow-through, and accountability from management that turned my move-out into such a negative experience.
