September 23, 2015Where do I start? At first glance a person who's desperate for a place to stay might think they hit the jackpot by finding This place. The move in special is what first gets your attention, half off first months rent would be a life saver for anyone. But after the landlords had our $100 non-refundable application fee it seemed like even with good credit that offer wasnt on the table anymore. Either way we needed a place to stay, so we went ahead and signed a one year lease, but that was only ...after pulling the landlords teeth to get them to tell you that you dont have to sign the 36 month lease that they will push on you ever so relentlessly. Moments after the lease was signed and filed away they precede to tell me that there is one problem apartment on our floor and the tenant is dirty so there may be a little bug problem for the first month but after that person is evicted it will be back to like before, bug free. LIES! Were now 6 months in and we've found hundreds of B. germanica (German roach) and P. americana (American roach) <--- which are huge and fast and they bring my poor girlfriend to tears. After speaking with some of the neighbors its very clear that everyone gets the same story. "Youll love it here! The last person who lived in your apartment lived here for 17 years." "Its a brand new apartment!" Theyre all lies, they just paint over every square inch of the place and call it "new". There are even roach legs clearly stuck to the wall from a lethal blow, and then painted over. Its despicable. RUN. Run as fast as you can away from 5036 n sheridan in chicago. Youll never be desperate enough to live here happily. Ive had so many roach encounters and I honestly believe they're running away, just like we are.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

August 6, 2015The place is full with roaches they claim that they spray it every 3 Months but I never seen anyone come in.i had to but products and try to fix the problem myself.as soon as I moved in it didn't take me long to realize it,as I spoke to the neighbors everybody has the same problem. No one lives there more than the lease term. They also got me to sign a year and half term which is odd, but I totally understand why know.The lady and man in the apartment are super rude and it's really hard to ...communicate with them especially the man.I would tell anybody that wants to move here don't make the same mistake I did.I also found a lot of bad reviews about the building after I moved in wish I did my research before.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
