Dear Prospective Renter,
As a current resident of The Palms at 8800 (8800 Starcrest Dr.), I feel compelled to warn you before you sign a lease. This is not based on a single bad day—these issues have persisted for months, and management has failed to resolve them.
Since April 2025, hot-water outages have been constant. By late July, boilers failed completely, leaving many of us boiling water just to bathe. As of mid-August, water pressure and temperature remain unreliable despite management ...

Air conditioning often fails to keep units below the high 80s or 90°F, pest problems are ongoing, and maintenance requests are met with delays, poor communication, or no resolution. Multiple ownership and name changes haven’t fixed these fundamental problems.
If you value reliable hot water, functional air conditioning, and timely maintenance, I urge you to look elsewhere. This property’s marketing does not match the lived experience of many residents. Save yourself the stress, discomfort, and expense—do not move here.
