    The space is good. Grounds are ok. Renovations Ok. BUT. More of a facade. Sloppy painting. Food smells creep in from everywhere. Cigarette smells too. Getting repairs is difficult.

  • Great community!!!

    I moved here from FL in99, and even though the arrangements were completed from out of state, they made the leasing arrangements and move as easy as possible! Since then, I have purchased a Townhouse in the same community and the staff at The Pines continues to include us also in their apartment functions, such as Pool parties, and holiday parties. I have seen the work that they put into the apartments and the grounds which has helped to make The Pines such a lovely community!

    We have lived here at The Pines for almost 4 months and have had a great experience so far. We moved from a house, and to a different state with a family of 6, so were nervous about going into an apartment and the issues that could arise, but the office staff is wonderful and friendly and responsive, the maintenance are there for you very quickly if you have an issue, and are also friendly and personable, and the pool and BBQ and tennis courts are awesome! Also, neighbors have been great and it ...

  • 3 years and still happy!

    The first year was a little rocky but the new staff knows what they are doing. Very experienced and friendly. The maintenance staff is fast! Beautiful property and the pool looks so much better than it used to. They are now putting money into the property! Cant beat the location either. Trees, grass, mountain views and away from the crazy traffic near tanglewood area. Renewing for another year next month=4 years!

  • Worst place ever

    Let me save you from wasting time and money by even considering this place. It’s so nice on the outside and seems so lovely when you tour but I promise the place you end up living won’t be anything like that. If you like mold and bugs and incompetence this is the place for you but otherwise you want to look elsewhere. It’s unfortunate because I was hoping it’d be different but I was wrong.

    We often jump to complain online, but rarely praise positive changes. This complex is in a great SW location and yes, the former management was terrible.   • Beautiful, View of the woods & mountains, and very nice office staff!

    I have a renovated apartment and it is beautiful. It has really pretty flooring that looks like wood and carpet that (not white) hides stains well. My neighbors are great and I have plenty of parking. My dogs seem to really love walking around the property and I feel safe even in the middle of the night. Don't believe the bad reviews, this place is now under new management and is wonderful! Looking forward to the events I have heard are coming up!

    I noticed another individual wrote on here that they will charge you fees and not explain what they are for. If you monitor your billing closely and catch this they will fight to give you your money back and will refuse to pay you back until you provide proof that you pay all your bills. They also attempt to charge you for electric secretly even though American Electric is the entity you pay. Also, tons of drugs, alcohol and crime here. Police are here every weekend and during the week as well. ...

  • Worst place ever

    September 7, 2016
    I am glad that I left when I did. Management has the worst customer service ever!!!! Someone was recently murdered on the premiss, I would not call that a safe place to live, would you. They have charged me over $ 150 in fees for a $ 40 dollar bill on an issue that was never explained prior to me signing the lease. The will nickel and dime you for every small detail. The rent is too expensive for very small, outdated apartments. None of the utilities are included in the rent. Water, trash, ...
    sewer, electricity, gas, renter's insurance, and cable are all on top of the overpriced rent. There is no overhead lighting in the bedroom(s), dinning or living rooms; you must provide your own lamps and lighting. They tell you to call if you ever have a problem, but when you call, nothing is ever done about the issue. Our air conditioner broke and maintenance just replaced it ( after three weeks) with another used A/C unit, in which mold could be smelled when it was turned on. Maintenance also scratched the door while installing the AC- I better not get blamed for that one. I have learned word of mouth is the best way to let the public know of issues. This is a warning to all STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS, otherwise you might end up spending more money than you bargained for.

  • Life at The Pines

    I like it here a lot! The environment is good and I feel very safe here, which is important to me. I like the wooded area out back and the privacy I have here. There is a pool and playground, and they have free coffee and cookies on Wednesdays. The staff are really nice and helpful who work here. The maintenance workers are great, and come fix whatever I need, like my dishwasher. The location is also nice, as it is right near stores and other places.
