NEVER EVER LIVE HERE
March 1, 2021I lived here for 4 years. We had submit multiple work requests, and none of them were done. The sink breaks all the time and all they do is say "oh idk why it keeps overflowing" when we literally cant even hardly use the thing cuz the garbage disposal hasnt worked in years and doesnt drain right. They just empty the water out and call it good instead of actually fixing it. My car has been broken into mutliple times, my packages get stolen, im fairly certain my neighbor is a drug dealer, the hot ...water either runs out immediately or gives you actual burns, the heating system is atrocious and doesnt do jack so i have to use space heaters, on constantly because the patio and window both have gaps big enough to fit a finger through so wind and bugs get in easily. the bedroom literally doesnt even have a ceiling light, but has a switch that controls one of the outlets? Whats the point in that? And the topper on the cake, the entire place is bedbug infested. I have to line literally every entrance into my apt with diatomaceous earth so i dont have to deal with them. I still have to be vigilant though because they CRAWL DOwn FROM THE CEILING from the unit above. They have also increased the rent many many times and never once upgraded or fixed anything. These landlords are an absolute JOKE. Being homeless is a better option.Property Manager Responded

Hainesway Apartments is NOT a Good Place to Live
July 5, 2018Unfortunately, my experiences with Hainesway, especially the management, have been pretty awful. The building I live in is pet friendly yet management has threatened to remove their tenants' pets because the building smells like pet. There are pets in the building, so of course there would be a pet smell, lol it was the strangest complaint I have ever heard from a landlord. Personally, I think the building strongly smells like weed and cigarette smoke because there are no non smoking policies in ...place. Several tenants smoke right outside the building front doors so you have to walk through it to get inside. Danielle told me they only shampoo the hall carpet every six months and I rarely hear them vacuum it. A few months ago someone threw up right outside our door and even though I let management know, the vomit stayed in the hallway for over two weeks by which point it basically got smashed into the carpet from people walking on it. Management has been terrible at responding, while I was trying to move in it took the landlord five days to run a credit check on my cosigner. It felt like she intentionally made the process as difficult and lengthy as possible. The apartments themselves are not very good considering what you are paying. Tenants are not allowed to add shelves or even use command strips. The lease states that change is available in the office for the laundry machines. This is a lie. They do not have change so you have to go to the bank or use an ATM every time you want to wash clothes. There are only three washers and dryers for an entire apartment building and the dryers always take multiple rounds to work. I will be moving out as soon as possible and suggest that future tenants find somewhere better to live.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Great Place
August 27, 2015These are great apartments. Clean buildings and grounds and very well run. Laundry room downstairs and everything is very well maintained. It is a large complex but there is still a waiting list to get in but it is worth the wait.Review from Apartments.com
A nice place to live ;)
July 26, 2015Hainesway Apartments are a nice place to live. The rooms are spacious and clean, the rent is great and there is a pool and hot tub to play in. There is a playground, basketball and tennis court to play on and the apartments are close to Highway 90, Goodwill and the Rushmore Mall. Pets are allowed and the community is nice and quiet. The only reason that they lost a star is because they only take checks and money orders for rent and their landscaping crew could use a few classes on how to trim a ...bush without butchering it.
