      Friendly and responsive management, well kept grounds, apartment was in good shape with working appliances and new carpet and floor, and my infrequent maintenance issues were resolved quickly. Offers short term leases for an additional fee.

      We have lived here for almost two years and we love it here at the Pointe Apartments. It's close to everything but yet so quite and peaceful. We are located right across from the Gautier Police Department. The staff at the Pointe Apartments are so kind and caring. The apartments are very spacious and clean. I love the huge walk in closet! They always have something going on from holiday balcony decorating contest to monthly giveaways. I highly recommend this place. Wouldn't want to live anywhere ...

    • Low Value for the Price

      I lived at The Pointe for a year...where do I even begin? My overall experience was ok, but there are some things that I want potential renters to be aware of. First of all, if you have pets, the move out inspection of your carpet will take place a few days after you move out, without you present, and with the air conditioning unit is set to 80 degrees (in hot, humid July, in my case). I vacuumed fairly regularly and cleaned up any spills as soon as I could, but I was still charged a whopping ...
      five hundred dollars upon move out because of "the dander" in the carpet. I lived in a 2 bed/2 bath apartment unit, and I have a difficult time believing that it cost five hundred dollars to have the carpets cleaned in that amount of space. But, I digress. The rent is astronomical for the quality of finishes that are present in the apartment. I pay a similar amount for an apartment unit with actual granite countertops, a security gate, electric fireplace, and a gorgeous (and much larger) community pool, at a brand new complex. While The Pointe is one of the nicer properties in Jackson County, the rent is way too high for what you get, especially now that the utility department in Gautier has done some damage to the entrance of the property. There is no security gate, and my door only locked with one deadbolt. The pool is small, which you can tell from the pictures, and the kitchens are dated. What they don't show in the pictures is the rust around the drain in the sink because of 15 years of old Gautier water (they have finally upgraded their water filtration system city-wide, but prior to that, the water caused rust quickly). The power bill, which is not included in the price of rent, was also quite high, and about seven months into my lease, the air conditioning unit started to give me trouble, which only made it even more expensive. Management was very nice and willing to help while I was a resident, but the sketchy business practices regarding the carpet cleaning/inspection left me with a bad taste in my mouth. In short, I would not recommend The Pointe because it's way overpriced and rapidly declining.
