BEST rental experience ever
February 6, 2022BEST rental experience I have had in 40 years. Looking at BAD reviews they must be from people who do not do their part as tenants or hold things against staff that is beyond their control. Saying stuff about bugs is just inflammatory and not my reality at all. I have never lived in a place where I have never had to call about bugs of some sort, except here. A townhouse cheaper than most apartments in area and MUCH cheaper than many apartments in Annapolis, convenient location, very ...centralized off 97 convenient to stores, quiet family and dog friendly, walkable area. The maintenance was top notch and staff was always so friendly dealing with issues and showed genuine concern. They followed up on things that kept the property looking nice and feeling safe. They had on going communication of many resources to help families during pandemic, even resources for food and rent support and would help you with process. Not a bad place and decent area
July 13, 2021Have been here for about 3 months now and overall we've been pretty happy Pros: - everyone in the community have been friendly and we've not had any issues with feeling unsafe - any time we've had a service request they've been out quickly to address the problem (a con would be they've had to come out multiple times for various issues since move in) - Leasing office has always been responsive prior to move in and since we've been there Cons: - People leave trash bags outside of the dumpsters and ...I have personally seen large rats around the dumpsters- luckily we're not directly near the dumpsters or we would most likely have a rodent problem- I would, personally, be cautious of getting an end unit by a dumpster - They do not have model units (at least when we first started looking in November) so you had to wait for a unit to be vacant in your desired layout and view it prior to the next tenant moving in -A lot of the kids are often playing by themselves and in groups in the driving area of the complex- younger kids on bikes not paying attention and playing behind cars - Pantry, bath closet and kitchen drawers all run smaller than what I expected and have experienced before- makes storage somewhat of an issue - Nothing in the unit is straight-- light switch coverings, wall outlets, the pantry door- even the seam in the wall in the small bath where the ceiling meets the wall itself is not straight. Cosmetic yeah- but annoying - The AC unit seems underpowered for the size of the unit- downstairs gets cool but the upstairs bedrooms really struggle to maintain temps- we had to buy (2) cooling fans just for the master bedroom alone - Floors are SUPER squeaky- I try to be thankful it's not horrible in our unit but a (2) bedroom we toured prior to the new tenant moving in was HORRIBLE and if our unit had been like that I don't think it would be tolerable - Soundproofing: about what we would expect for a rental community- neighbors are pretty respectful but we can hear their music/tv pretty regularly. -Parking: you have 1 assigned spot but the numbers are mostly faded on everyone's so it makes it difficult at times to see what are free spaces and what are assigned- - In your lease agreement any boxes (like cable, fios, etc) have to be removed prior to move out- I didn't realize this and it was a major HASSLE to get internet set up- initially Verizon tried to charge me as they thought I cut the box.Property Manager Responded

Really Enjoyed Living Here
December 31, 2019My girlfriend and I moved in for a few months before moving out of the area and had nothing but a great experience here. I could sometimes hear my neighbors slightly but that is just part of living in close quarters with other families. Customer service sucks
December 31, 2019The phone rings for a long time and it's difficult getting someone on the phone. When you do get someone, they find one excuse or the other NOT to attend to you. I had a staff tell me i was discriminating because I complained that my neighbor's cooking fills my apartment both upstairs and downstairs. It took them 3 days to clean the mess in front of my apartment. Parking is also an issue.Property Manager Responded

BED BUG ROOMIES HERE
July 4, 2018NOTE: BED BUGS ARE ALSO YOUR NEW ROOMIES!!! When you sign up for this seemingly normal place, The Pointe at Harpers Mill, you don’t get informed that you will also have roommates and those roommates are bed bugs :) these little guys feed on your body at night and sometimes during the day if you’re trying to take a day nap. Not only do they hangout in your room, but your kitchen and living room too! If you’re wanting to get those pesky little bugs out, it only costs about 2 grand to get rid of ...them :) and in my case they come back again because they are basically permanent residents! Along with these little guys, the leasing office doesn’t care and feels as if the home is 100% fine and livable because they personally never saw the bugs, so your personal experience does not matter :DProperty Manager Responded

Do not move here unless you want unexpected charges and sketchy management!
August 1, 2017I lived at this apartment complex for close to 3 years. The rent started out reasonable but they spike the price after the first year. The leasing office is almost impossible to get ahold of on the phone and you will need to wait for a call back. The apartment complex staff gave my personal information to another resident because their package was accidentally delivered to my apartment and it took me a week to get it to the leasing office because i was out of town. After I moved out the leasing ...office accidentally charged me an entire extra month's rent which I had to drive to the corporate leasing office to get refunded. I verbally asked about attending walk through of my apartment but was never contacted to attend walk through. They then charged me over $600 to "treat" the carpets. Everyone who helped me moved agreed that the carpet was in excellent condition when I left. I was then told since the request to attend the walk through was verbal and not issued by certified mail that there was no way for me fight the claim. I asked for proof of damage and none could be provided. I asked to be taken to small claims court and they forwarded me to a lawyer who says that he does not represent them in that capacity. Then they sent me to a debt collection agency that calls my phone every day when I am still trying to dispute the charge. My downstairs neighbor smoked in his apartment and the fumes came into my home. My next door neighbors had domestic dispute where cops were called. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT complex or management company. I highly recommend WPM Management over Quest Management every day of the week.Property Manager Responded

GREAT neighborhood!
July 5, 2016The Pointe is such a beautiful community! My move in was very last minute and the leasing agents got me in right away and my home was GORGEOUS! fully renovated and brand new..so happy! The staff really works with you and go out their way to help you with any issues or situations that may arise. I have had contact with all the ladies in the office and just would like to praise every last one of them for immediate attention they provide.
