I’m a current resident of this complex. I pay my rent on time, don’t cause any disturbances, and only visit the leasing office when I’m paying rent. I’m also quite flexible. However, I’ve reached a point where I’m no longer comfortable living in my house due to ongoing maintenance issues and the lack of concern from management and maintenance. I’m currently tired of constantly dealing with management and maintenance on a renovated unit. However, I feel like this might be my chance to let go because I’m beyond frustrated. It’s taking a toll on my other responsibilities because I can’t return to a satisfactory living environment.
One major issue for me is the water leaking through my walls. I’ve noticed this problem for a week now, but maintenance and management haven’t taken it seriously until I reached out to other professionals. I feel highly uncomfortable in my unit because of this issue.
In addition to the water leak, I’ve had other problems with the complex. There were broken gates, infestations with bugs next door, pests control damaging property, and now the water leak. I have asthma and eczema, and I’m not sure of the current condition of my unit beyond what maintenance and management have told me.
