Beware of the furnished apartment - no deposit refund
December 29, 2022Apartment was relatively clean and well furnished. When I mopped the floor for the first time, the water in the bucket was like a mud puddle, so obviously the cleaning people hired before we got there only vacuumed. The toilet bowl in the master bathroom was stained a deep purple - dirty. I was able to get it sparkling white and clean. Found items under both beds - sock, pacifier, change. Did not complain about any of this. When we moved out, my roommate asked someone in the office if the ...linens needed to be washed, they said no. She hired a cleaning service. They are still charging a cleaning and laundry fee. We have been out 6 weeks and still have not received our deposit. Called and they told us we would only get $60 because they had to clean. $120 to shampoo carpet which is only in the bedrooms. I GUARANTEE you that the furniture was never moved to clean. Just cleaned the path around the beds. The windows are very poor. Could hear whispered conversations of neighbors below us on their patio and can hear all the noise at the pool VERY loudly. If our deposit had been refunded us in a timely fashion, I never would have even left a review. Their contract states that the refund will be returned within 30 days. Worst Property Management
August 13, 2021If I could, I'd give this place zero stars. I have rented from many different places since I started living on my own some 10 years ago and I will tell you the broken down pit of a complex I lived in, in San Diego was a better place than the Regency. The office staff may be kind and plenty helpful when you are trying to get into the place but after you're a tenant you'd be luck to get any help at all. First off, we had a horrible time with the neighbors, the complex is put together poorly and ...since the buildings are cheap the walls are horribly thin. We had three children who were woken up night after night at 1, 2 or even 3 a.m. becuase our upstairs neighbors sounded like they were hosting a WWE showdown. After going to the neighbors directly several times to let them know that they wer being very loud and keeping our children up we went to the office staff for some back up. They told us they would tell the neighbors to keep it down but they never resolved the issue. We ended up having to call PD and involve them for noise disurbances because the complex couldn't handle the problem themselves.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

Management is friendly and helpful, maintenance is fast and there are lots of great amenities as well., including spa, pool, gym, and tanning bed Can be a bit light on storage space, which isn't ideal, and it can get a bit noisy as it's right next to eagle road, but if those things aren't an issue to you then this place is great.Review from Apartments.com

Their website is easy to use for paying rent or for a doing maintenance request (which they are very prompt to fix). For being right by the Village, and many restaurants, the rent is very affordable. October 22, 2018This isn’t the fanciest or most expensive apartment I’ve ever lived in but it’s clearly one of the best. The units are comfortable, well appointed and the complex is clean and well managed. Although it’s close to a lot of action, it stays pretty quiet. The staff is friendly and very competent and do an excellent job of enforcing rules that benefit the residents. I find nothing not to like.Property Manager Responded

Enjoying Our Stay
October 22, 2018We are living at The Regency Apartments while we build a house and are enjoying life here. The staff is very friendly, helpful and quick to respond to maintenance requests. The apartments and grounds are well-kept and clean, the other residents friendly and quiet. Our visiting grandkids love the pool and playground. Some days I wish there were an elevator, but I understand that at least one of the new buildings will have one. :-) We feel safe in this complex and enjoy the proximity of both ...Kleiner Park and The Village.Property Manager Responded

I LOVE living here
October 22, 2018After checking out a few other apartment complexes in the area, I settled on this one for its location and quality. I'm in a premier apartment and it's fantastic (some of the other ones I'd checked out were a bit dumpy...my dad's a contractor and when he visited, he approved). It's right across the street from the Boise Co-Op and super close to the Village and a park. After a friend experienced a couple other complexes, I seem to have made a good choice if only because I haven't had crazy ...management stories. I heard there was turn-over a few years ago, but I've been here a year and a half and it's been the same awesome management. They're extremely friendly, maintenance requests always get done in a timely manner (when I moved in, there was a cracked window and they got that squared away—then there were a couple other small things, like issues with the garbage disposal and ants), and I've never had an issue with communication. I pay rent through an app (I think you can give checks too, like my old place)—you'll also fill out maintenance requests from there too— it's SO convenient. When I renewed, they even threw in a complimentary carpet cleaning. It's pet friendly, very family friendly, and close to schools, for those who have kiddos. I also really appreciate that they have recycling (I do wish they had some way to compost, but I have no idea what that would look like). When we found we had a habitual problem, we reached out to all residents at a whole advising of the concern and asked for our residents to assist us in correcting the problem so we could ensure the residents continued to enjoy a clean and safe community to call home. It was clearly stated if the concern did not apply to you, to please disregard. We value our residents and want to take the best possible care of the community. Theft Issues
December 13, 2015We enjoyed our time here, but the theft of two high-value bikes has left an awful taste in our mouths for this place. My wife's was stolen a couple of months ago; the crooks cut a thick cable lock and walked off. I had conversations just that week with other residents who had their nice bikes stolen as well. My bike was stolen in the same fashion just today... so I'm still pretty upset. The problem lies more in the fact that the apartment is not concerned enough to do anything of value. They'll ...send an email or print something on a flyer. That doesn't seem to scare the bad guys away. There's an ongoing pattern of theft, mixed with turn-over and apathy within the staff. I'd like to give a positive review, but until that factor changes, this is the best review I can offer. The thefts will get bigger, cars and apartments will not be exempt as long as there is a comfort zone for crime here. Love the hot tub though.Property Manager Responded
June 7, 2018We are terribly sorry about the theft you experienced. We do all we can to deter theft on the property. We have a courtesy patrol that monitors the property and we advise all of our residents not to leave personal belongings in the common areas or stairwells and to instead store them in their apartments, garages or storage units. We agree there was some turnover in 2015, that was most likely frustrating to residents; but we are happy to report the Regency has had the same Management Staff in place for close to 3 years now with positive results. While we know we have wonderful and trustworthy residents, we are unable to control the actions and behaviors of the community at large, and do our best to educate . Happily we can report there have never been no vehicle or apartment thefts in this community. Nor have any other thefts been reported to management in the past several years.
